WORK
1] During the initial 6 months During this time, a student can work 20 hours a week on campus and can expect to earn $ 10/hour. 2] After the initial 6 months During this time and during co-op term, a student can work off-campus for 20 hours per week and can expect to earn $ 10/hour. 3] During Co-op. Term During this time, where the college/university provides a placement, a student would be working full time and can expect to earn about $ 10/hour. 4] After completion of course After completing a one year course, a student can get a 1 year work permit and after doing a 2 year course, a student can get a 3 year work permit. This is an open work permit, allowing a student to work for unlimited hours with multiple employers. No job offer is required for this work permit.
Work permits for your spouse or common-law partner are valid for the same period of time as your study or Open work permit.

STUDY IN GERMANY
Germany is the most industrialized country in the world and till now the largest exporter in the world. The quality of German products is highly esteemed. There are more than 300 Universities, Universities of Applied Sciences (Fachhochschule) and Technical Institutions (Berufsakademie) in the public (government owned) and private sector which are highly advanced and reputed. Some magazines like Spiegel in Germany publish university ratings every year. Rankings of worldwide universities also appear at www.topuniversities.com and www.timeshighereducation.co.uk Germany has 13 years of schooling. All Bachelors degree including in engineering are of 3 years duration while a Masters degree is of 2 years duration. Students who have completed Std. XII need to do a Foundation Course called Studienkolleg. 99% of the courses are taught in German and 1% of the courses are taught in English. So, the best thing to do is to learn German in Germany and appear for a language test, either DSH or TestDaF, similar to TOEFL or IELTS. The duration of courses in Medicine is 6 years after completing Studienkolleg. National exams are conducted for Medicine, Pharmacy, Food Chemistry, Law and Biology. German universities have two intakes, one in winter and the other in summer. Germany allows students one year to look for jobs after finishing studies. After locating a job, the student can get a work permit and a long term visa. Europe will shortly be introducing a Blue Card for foreigners to settle down in Europe. Students studying in Europe can take advantage of this.

This is a 2 semester subject specific course like our Science, Commerce and Arts stream. The final exam of this course is like our Board exam and can be attempted after attaining a language proficiency of B2 level. Medicine in Germany : It's a 5.5-6 years course after the completion of Std. XII + German language + Studienkolleg. The course is taught in German. Eligibility 90% in Std. XII.

Even students with average academic performance receive scholarships. 90% of the students sent by us to USA have received scholarships ranging from 40% to 75% of the annual tuition fees.

CLIMATE
New Zealand's climate is temperate, with average temperatures ranging from about 80C in July to 230C in January.
COST OF LIVING
The experience of various Indian families indicate that monthly expenditure of a four member family is NZ$ 2,000. When an individual stays in a paying guest facility, then the monthly expenditure will be approx. NZ$ 800.
WORK
Students can work for 20 hours a week. Students can work for unlimited hours during vacation. Students will be given 12 month open work permit after completion of course. Once a student gets a job offer relevant to their course they can apply for a 2 year work permit. This is for all courses that qualify for points under the Skilled Migrant Category. All PG courses come in this category. Spouse can work for unlimited hours for the duration of partner's course, if student is studying towards qualifications in areas of absolute skill shortage or for PG qualifications.
