COURSE STANDARDS While this is a Health& Safety class, we still expect you to use skills learned in other classes, especially English. It is imperative that you develop solid skills as an effective communicator in both written and oral communication. Employers have stated that this is one of several important traits for employees to possess. So, what does this mean? It means we expect to see neatly written/typed work with correct grammar and spelling, etc. It also means we expect you to use effective oral presentation skills, active listening and respectful communication with everyone. One needs to know how to get a point across as well as listen and give appropriate feedback. ACADEMIC HONESTY Academic honesty is critical to you, the student, in being successful and having a positive experience. If you choose to cheat by taking the work, ideas, and/or efforts of another and present them as yours or provide your work to another student, you both face the same consequence. All students involved will not receive a grade/credit for the assignment and must redo the assignment to pass the course. This may also result in disciplinary action.
