Newly Appointed Assistant Permanent Secretaries
Following the recruitment of a new batch of Assistant Permanent Secretaries
by the Public Service Commission, their postings have been effected as set out at
paragraph 5B.
2. The newly recruited Assistant Permanent Secretaries will be required to follow
an induction course at the Civil Service College Mauritius shortly. In this connection,
the Ministry of Public Service, Administrative and Institutional Reforms will liaise with
the officers and Supervising Officers will be kept informed accordingly. It would be
appreciated if you could arrange for their release in due course.
3. It would also be appreciated if Supervising Officers concerned could:
(i) report the date of assumption of duty of the newly appointed officers;
(ii) arrange for them to sign the Official Secrets Act, where required;
(ii) as soon as possible, arrange for them to be medically examined, where
applicable, and submit copy of their medical report to this Office; and
(iv) _ submit to this Office an ad-hoc report, every three months, along the line
of the enclosed pro-forma, on the work and conduct of any of the officers
posted to your Ministry.
4, Please note that the posting of these officers may be changed at appropriate
intervals in order to enable them to develop their administrative skills and broaden
their vision.
125. In addition, the following changes in the posting of Assistant Permanent
Secretaries have been approved to take effect on Thursday 20 July 2023.
