ATC core marksmen- this award shows the ability to be trusted with dangerous weapons and the ability to shoot distances over 200 yards will high accuracy. School prefect- a role which meant I was trusted to keep areas of the school tidy, locked and free of students. College- completed a team building management residential week in the lake district. Completing the same tasks that are set for the managers of firms such as BMW to a very high standard. I acted as a team player as well as a team leader on some tasks. University- one of few who completed a dissertation as well as a live work experience project where I consulted with a firm on improving their online image and presence as well as making other recommendations. Objectives were set by a client where I had to promote the site using social media, Google optimisation, website improvements, attracting different segments, affiliate marketing and other recommendations in a professionally presented report. Employment: March 2006-august 2006: Employed as a Kitchen Porter at Haigh Hall in Wigan. I was required to make sure that all dishes were cleaned properly to very high health

and safety standards. I would also be working towards deadlines and have to work on my own initiative and prioritise. I mainly worked social events and celebrations such as weddings where I was trusted to work to tight deadlines to and clean all my areas as well as presenting myself smartly and professionally. October 2006: 2 weeks work experience at Sullivan Way doctors Surgery as a reception clerk. I was required to sign in and make appointments for people requiring a flu injection. I had to search through a database of patients to find people who were at risk and needed a flu injection I would then contact them and make an appointment at a time to suit the patient and the nurse. This work experience meant working to deadlines, dealing with patients. August 2006- August 2008: WH Smith sales assistant. In this position I had to work with customers and staff as a team to ensure that we maximised sales, served the customer to the best of our ability and use initiative. I spent most of my time working on the computerised tills and helping customers find items or helping them choose with my knowledge of stationary and technology. I also replenished stock, took phone calls and dealt with them appropriately. I also won a competition where I sold the most of a certain product in the region by using till point conversation to beat a set target. October 2007- HSBC bank, work experience for 2 weeks. Duties included handling cash, counting cash, dealing with customers and shadowing financial and mortgage advisors. This role required me to be professional at all times and also to be trusted with large amount of cash as well as highly sensitive personal data. The role also meant I spent a lot of time on the shop floor where I had to show a smart and professional image as well as being respectful to customers and staff at all times. June 2008- December 2009: Promotions manager at The Pada Lounge Bar & Nightclub. Working at The Pada Lounge mainly entailed promoting the club in many different ways, using socialising networks, posters and on club nights promoting using leaflets and one to one communication in order to attract people to the club. Working in a team I was responsible for both the training and performance monitoring of the other promoters to ensure the club could maximise profit. This often involved engineering a strategy to make the club unique to attract more customers; the job also involved a lot of personal selling and communicating with the public in order to improve the club further. Voluntary work Aided a collection outside a football match for the Battle of Britain memorial fund. Bag packing to raise funds for the Air cadets fund. Cenotaph guard at Wigan parish Remembrance Day parade in 2005. Remembrance collection for Wigan British Royal Legion. Sponsored walk to help raise funds for the millennium chapel appeal at school. Helping with open evenings at college on 3 occasions guiding potential students to locations and advising them on courses.
