It is obligatory on every to have iman by thinking:

Imaan is the decisive belief, i.e., Tassdeeq jaazim. This is the view of the scholars of ahl al-Sunnah as mentioned by Imam Nawawi in his book Sharh Sahih Muslim: "The people of sunnah, the people of hadith, the scholars, and the people of speech (ilmal kallam) hold that the believers, who are the people of the Qibla (the direction of prayer)and who will not remain in hell forever, are those who believe in Islam definitively with certainty (yaqeen), without speculation or doubt, and who pronounce the shahada (i.e. there is no God but Allah and Muhammad is the Messenger of God)". Faith must be decisive (al-Imaanu Yaqeeni) God says in the Quran: "He who worships with God a partner for which he has no proof, his reckoning will be with His Lord. Truly the unbelievers will not prosper or have they decided to put God beside him. Say bring your proof." [al-Anbiya 21:24] "Do they take another God with Allah? Say to them bring your proof if you are telling the truth." [al-Qasas 28:75 ]. In these verses, and others similar to them in meaning, the word proof (in Arabic burhan) is connected with belief; and the condition for the proof is that it be an irrefutable proof. Belief must be decisive and free from doubt that comes from speculation. The Islamic Aqeedah is Imaan (positive belief) in Allah (SWT), His Angels, Books, Messengers, the Day of Resurrection and Al-qadhaa wal-Qadar (divine fate and destiny) whether favourable or unfavourable being from Allah (SWT) . The meaning of Imaan is the definite belief that conforms to reality and results from evidence. A belief deduced without evidence cannot be considered as Imaan. Without evidence, it cannot be considered and can only be considered as an item of news. Evidence is indispensable for any thing required to be part of Imaan, such that acceptance of it becomes Imaan. Therefore, the availability of evidence is a prerequisite for Imaan, irrespective of whether it is correct or incorrect. Evidence is either rational or Naqlee (transmitted). What determines the nature of the evidence is the subject to be examined to confirm whether or not the Muslim should have Imaan in it. If the subject is accessible through the senses and can be perceived as such, the evidence is definitely rational. If the subject-matter cannot be accessed by the senses its evidence is considered Naqlee, and this evidence itself can be perceived through the senses. The categorisation of an evidence as a Naqlee proof suitable for Imaan is dependent upon proving it as an evidence using rational proofs. So to have a decisive belief we have only one way left .it is using our intellect.

That is why Islam compels the use of the mind with the emotions and obliges the Muslim to use his mind to believe in Allah and forbids imitation in aqeedah. Therefore, Islam assigned the mind as the arbitrator in iman in Allah and forbids imitation in aqeedah. "Do they take another God with Allah? Say to them bring your proof if you are telling the truth." [al-Qasas 28:75 ]. Allah, says:"Behold! In the creation of the heavens and the earth, and the alteration of night and day, these are indeed signs for men of understanding." [Aali-Imran: 190] Therefore it is obligatory (waajib) upon every Muslim to make his belief (Iman) result from, thinking, study and contemplation and to make his mind the absolute arbitrator in the belief (Iman) in Allah. because creeds (a'qaaid) should not be taken except with certainty (yaqeen).
