SECTOR SPECIFIC WORK EXPERIENCE: CAPACITY BUILDING In February 2008 conducted a 3-day training programme on livelihood promotion and market development for OXFAM staffs and SDC partners at Kabul, Afghanistan. Visiting faculty to Indira Gandhi Panchayati Raj & Gramin Vikas Sansthan, Jaipur; a state level government nodal agency for capacity building of government functionaries in the state. Took sessions on rural marketing, collective marketing, selection of income generating activities and livelihood promotion. Oriented Staffs of Mahila Evam Bal Vikas Sastha, Rajasthan on Entrepreneurship, Activity Selection and Business Promotion and Marketing at a state level workshop. More than 250 Community Development Project Officers from 32 districts were oriented in 3 programmes from June 24th 2006 to 28th June 2006 at SIAM (State Institute for Agriculture Management), Jaipur. Organized a series of capacity building/training program on Livelihood Promotion & Market Development (LPMD), vision building, cross learning and best practices for project staffs and field implementing staffs under DPIP (World Bank funded Projects) in Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan. Organized and conducted nearly 30 training programmes on Livelihood Promotion and Market Development in Madhya Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh and New Delhi. NATURAL RESOURCE MANAGEMENT Conceptualized and guided team in implementation of an integrated package for rain-fed farming for productivity enhancement by introducing better seeds and better package of practices, introducing technical inputs and developing better marketing strategy under the funding of Government of Rajasthan (World Bank sponsored). Helped team develop and implement an integrated goatery development plan by providing technical and marketing inputs through trainings, organizing health check up and vaccination camps for enhancing the productivity and support marketing initiatives by establishing linkages with traders/exporters and organizing marketing camps. As a path breaking initiative introduced system of selling goats live after weighment and facilitated formation of community owned cluster for collective efforts. Conducted Value Chain Analysis for agriculture and livestock sub-sector and suggested Collective Marketing Strategy to the project beneficiaries in 15 districts of Tamilnadu. POLICY, CONCEPTS, M&E

In DPIP Rajasthan member in core thematic groups at state level for agriculture, livestock and micro enterprise sectors to discuss policy matters, review progress, develop monitoring and evaluation systems and action plans. Under DPIP Rajasthan conceptualized formation of district level resource teams; DART (District Agriculture Resource Team) for agriculture promotion, DLRT (District Livestock Resource Team) for livestock promotion and DMERT (District Micro Enterprise Resource Team) for promotion on non-farm activities. Resource team comprise district project staffs, field implementing agencies, representative from government line department and resource agencies. Resource teams meet monthly to review progress and discuss action plan. Project adopted the concept in all its seven districts. Helped DPIP Rajasthan develop a social insurance scheme based on MART's MP-DPIP experiences. Project developed MIS for registering complaints related to insurance of assets and life of project beneficiaries. Under MP-DPIP conceptualized formation of district level resource teams; DART (District Agriculture Resource Team) for agriculture promotion and DVRT (District Veterinary Resource Team) for livestock. Resource teams met regularly to review progress and discuss action plan. Project adopted the concept in six districts. Under MP-DPIP innovation fund in Raisen district conceptualized BOER (Breed Improvement of existing Goats in Raisen pilot project for artificial insemination in goats for improving health and weight of goats thereby their market value. A resource team from Pune's Neera Valley Genetics trained 20 veterinary doctors and paravets in the process of artificial insemination using through the use of South African semen pellets. Under same innovation fund in MP-DPIP conceptualized Project WhEAT (Wheat Enhancement using Appropriate Technology) for introducing quality seed production by introducing breeder seed variety. Farmers were organized into seed producer' cooperative society and got marketing rights. Conceptualised, developed and introduced Micro insurance package in collaboration with National Insurance Company (NIC), Oriental Insurance Company and United India Insurance under World Bank Funded Project for MP Govt. in 14 districts. Also implemented the innovative concept of Rural Insurance Agents (RIAs) and educated the rural unemployed youths and enable them to earn upto Rs 10,000 per month as commission. Developed and executed fortnightly, monthly and quarterly monitoring formats for World Bank funded District Poverty Initiatives Project (DPIP), Madhya Pradesh during a strategic support provided by MART.
