Le Conditionnel Présent
Le Conditionnel Présent
Formation :
Subject pronoun + Future stem of the verb + Imparfait endings

Tu jouerais You would play
Il jouerait He would play
Elle jouerait She would play

The above formation works for -er verbs (aimer, j'aimerais), -ir verbs (finir, je finirais) and
-re verbs (vendre, je vendrais). Remember to drop the final e from the infinitive stem of -re
verbs . All verbs with an irregular future stem, will be irregular in Conditionnel too.
• Semi-Regular verbs:
Some Semi-Regular verbs with spelling changes in the present, form their future / conditional
stem regularly. Some others change the stem.
