Updates : September 2011

Greetings to Everyone !!! It gives us pleasure to inform you that the event organizers have revealed the final teams list and we are the only Indian team in FSAE Australasia 2011. It will be an honour to represent India against other teams from Australia, Germany, Japan, New-Zealand, Malaysia and Pakistan. Our sincere efforts and better luck led to some fruitful advancements in the project. In the last one month We submitted the preliminary design report, well before the deadline (9th August) and now we are preparing the final design report, to be submitted. In workshop, we completed the major tasks of wheel assembly and suspension fabrication. The wheel -suspension - roll cage assembly and brake paddle box assembly is under progress. Some imported components got the custom clearance a few days ago. These items are Race car differential (imported from UK) Racing tyres, steering rack (imported from USA). We also received the CNC machined wheel uprights. We are thankful to: 1) Mr. Satish Banarasi (Plant Head), Mr. P. Mishra and Mr. Navneet Kumar of Rockman Industries Haridwar. 2) Mr. C. M. Hatwal and Mr. Sandeep of Unitech Machinery Saharanpur. These gentlemen facilitated the advanced CNC machining of our wheel uprights, in their respective plants and thus our work was done in time.

Gas filled monotube shock absorbers. Variable spring constant. Customised spacers to adjust shocktravel. 2) Wheel Brake Roll cage assembly Custom offset Al alloy wheels CNC machined uprights. Material Al 6082 Custom made wheel hubs. Material Al 7075 Dual Piston calipers with custom mounting Customized Brake discs : Thickness 5 mm, Diameter 220 mm
