What is the community problem?

Answer: We came to know that the local students are poor in English because of the Following reasons 1. They do not have much interest in English because English is not their mother tongue. 2. They are not provided with basic facilities such as library, English books, newspapers, etc. 3. They do not know the necessity of English for their future. 4. Their textbooks are designed in such a way that they learn the alphabets in 5th standard.

How is the problem affecting the community?

Answer: English is the need of the hour but the rural children are remaining away from it because of lack of opportunities.

 Many a times we find literates in community but are not able to read and write English at least to accomplish their daily needs. They are to rely upon others if anything that comes in English their way.

Problem-solving techniques used entire process (include pictures, if possible)

Answer: We had a work shop for a week(8-12-2010 to 16-12-2010) in our school in which we used modern technology such as computer, LCD, CDs,PPTs,Demonstrations,conversations by us on varied topics to teach the students basic English. We requested the teacher of the school to provide them with some English story books so as to improve their communication skills. We surveyed the village school & we collected the information about the level of their English In a very friendly way We interacted with the children about their real learning difficulty of the language. We requested the panchayat authorities to help the school by providing a computer & also to extend their helping hands for this noble work and betterment of village children English.

 What are the technologies used for problem-solving?

 How has the community benefited from the project?

Answer: 1. The local children have learnt a lot in our English teaching programme. 2. Now they can frame the sentences on their own. 3. And also they are able to speak simple English with others.

How have the students benefited from the project?

Answer: We learnt the usage of technology. We became perfect in basics of English after teaching them. We learnt the method of presenting the things effectively.
