    INTRODUCTION: The students from the local


    government school are tought by us the Basic English. As the part of Intel project we arranged a teaching program of Basic English for them for one week.

    PRINCIPALS REQUEST LETTER TO THE NEIGHBORING SCHOOL TO DEPUTE THE STUDENTS TO ATTEND THE PROGRAM EXEMPTING THEM FROM AFTERNOON PERIODS.

    We started our teaching program with a test to know their previous knowledge about English. In this we came to know that most of the students are below average so we started our program by teaching them alphabets & we taught them the following things by using the computer.

    The topics taught to them:


    Alphabets(I,II) Sentence & its types Sentence forming Parts of speech Tenses and its kinds Synonyms & Antonyms. Speaking skills Genders Wishes Numbers

    Conclusion: We concluded our teaching program on 16-12-2010.By conducting one test the students who were average & below average have improved as it is evident in the pie chart above. We hope that this program which is our sincere effort to serve the community has benefitted them & they have learnt so many things in this.
