Fierce, foreboding omens came over the Land of Northumbria and wretchedly terrified the people.
There were excessive whirlwinds, lightning storms, and fiery dragons were seen flying in the sky.
These signs were followed by a great famine. - The Anglo-Saxon Chronicle, June 793

As one geologist put in:

Thousands of times in the past billion years an

50 times the speed of sound, vaporizing tons of solid rock and carving a crater many kilometers across.
Each event lasted only a few seconds. Yet its effects can reverberate through the course of geologic and
biological history.

that weighed more than 1,000,000 tons. It created a blast of 20 Megatons, or 1500 Hiroshimas

Chinese Chroniclers of the 6th Century AD report that the $.U.N. “became dim” and that its
darkness lasted for 18 months, this dimming caused both prior to and after the meteor impacts. In the
same era, crops failed in Asia and Europe, and famine and plague followed. 80% of the population died
in some China regions and Lo-Yang, capital of the Northern Empire, the Wei Civilization was deserted
in AD534.

When Pope Urban II summoned the Council of Clermont in 1095 to launch the First Crusade, he did
so against, and perhaps in response to, an extraordinary background of natural disasters. According to
contemporary chroniclers, the Pope's announcement immediately followed a violent

BEIRUT, Sept. 15 -- A medieval reference in an academic lecture by Pope Benedict XVI unleashed a
wave of denunciations, outrage and frustration across the Muslim world Friday, with officials in
Turkey and Pakistan condemning the pontiff, Islamic activist groups organizing protests and a leading
religious figure in Lebanon demanding that he personally apologize.
The reception to the pope's speech in Germany on Tuesday was a reminder of the precarious,
suspicious state of affairs between a West that often views Islam as a faith in need of reform and a
Muslim world that feels besieged in the wake of the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks. Some of the criticism
evoked the Crusades; others accused the Vatican of joining a Western-led war on Islam.

Q: Who is throwing all these $TON€$? Where are all these projectiles coming from? Are they

Does Pope Benedict XVI know something others don't?
