About Us, ILaw Chambers LLC

ILaw chambers was founded by Don Low in 1990, and has been Singapores leading firm in conveyancing and litigation for the past decade. The firm has already expended to nearby countries in Asia which includes firms in Malaysia and Australia. The firm boasts clients which include multi-national enterprises in banking and finance sectors. Other clients like foreign governments, quasi-governmental organizations and state-owned corporations, as well as international companies. Our firm specializes in many areas of the law and is split into practice groups. Our groups are made up of Litigation & Arbitration Group, International Practices and Shipping, and Corporate& commercial Practice Group. Without a doubt, ILaw Chambers LLC has grown and developed into an international renowned firm which is the number one choice for the people.

Departments
In I-Law Chambers, there are 4 departments, namely the Corporate & Commercial Group, Intellectual Property and Technology Group and lastly the Litigation & Arbitration Group. In this page, we will be elaborating on certain details of the various groups.

1. Corporate and Commercial Practice Group I-Law Chambers Corporate and Commercial Practice Group specialise in advising on a wide spectrum of mergers and acquisitions, private equity, joint ventures and commercial work. Leveraging on our extensive experience and understanding of the ever-changing regulatory business environments, we handle a wide range of legal matters in the domestic and cross-border markets. Our expertise covers divestment and acquisitions of shares and businesses, local and international joint ventures, corporate reorganisation and reconstruction, business strategic alliances, capital restructurings, private equity investments and placements, and a comprehensive range of agency, supply and services contracts. The Department Head for the Corporate and Commercial Practice Group is Rzye Goh.

2. Intellectual Property and Technology The Intellectual Property & Technology Practice Group undertakes a wide spectrum of work relating to protection, commercialisation and enforcement of Intellectual Property Rights and Technology. The team has experience in the practices of various industries such as advertising, film, television, media, music, digital media and more. The team serves clients from international and local advertising agencies, film and television production companies, arts groups, music publishers, entertainment companies, software developers and digital media companies. We advise and act for local and foreign clients in respect of contentious and non-contentious matters in Singapore and overseas relating to their Intellectual Property Rights. The Department Head for the Intellectual Property and Technology Group is Ms Tan Shuyi. 3. Litigation and Dispute Resolution The Litigation & Dispute Resolution Department consists of Insurance Litigation, Commercial Litigation, International Arbitration Group and International Law Group. It also handles matters relating to Bankruptcy, Judicial Management and Receivership, Construction and Engineering, Employment and Labour Relations, Family Law, Insolvency and Shipping. The Department Head for Litigation and Dispute Resolution is Mr Nuahjib Tan.

Procedures and Guidelines

1. Application For Leave In I-Law Chambers LLC, we understand that our employees will at certain times, require to apply for leave due to certain reasons. To apply for leave, employees would have to give at least 2 days notice to the department head through the form of a letter, stating the reasons and duration of leave.

2. Dressing At I-Law Chambers LLC, dressing is to be formal at all times, this is to uphold our professional image at all times.
