Australians found more supportive towards immigration-A study

According to a new study released, Australians now have a very positive and welcoming attitude towards increasing immigration in the country.

High positive results have turned up as the answers for a recent study conducted by experts and researchers on social harmony with the increasing immigration in the country at Monash University in Australia. The Study: According to the recently released study, the Australian people are found to be more supportive and welcoming attitude towards the immigrants coming to the country. Results when compared with the previous studies show that the Australians are gradually getting more positive towards the increasing immigration. Now they are realizing its benefits and are mending their attitude towards it. The study clearly shows that by the 2011 Australian supports and attitude towards the immigration has been increased significantly. As per the recent national study assembled by the Prof. Andrew Markus from the Monash Universitys Scanlon Foundation, gave in depth look on the factors related to the public attitudes about the immigration in Australia, racial tolerance, how much they trust government, national pride and also about the refugees. Ranges of questions were put regarding to get their actual attitudes towards it. The Findings: As per the findings of the report suggests that now the Australians are more supporting towards coming the immigrants than they were before. This could be seen in response to the question

when asked how do they feel about number of current immigration, around 55 per cent them answered the number is around right or it should be increased which has gone up by 9 per cent when this question was asked in the 2010 study, around 39 per cent said its high which have come down by 8 per cent as compared to previous year when 47 per cent answered it was high. Such percentages show the increasing acceptability towards the immigrants. Also when asked that coming of immigrants from the different countries helps in emerging Australia a stronger country, around 24 per cent strongly believed and supported it as compared to just 19 per cent in 2010, and only 16 per cent couldnt find their country stronger with the coming of the immigrants, around 11 per cent think it doesnt matter. When questioned about the perceptions on immigrants from different nationalities turning up into country, only 5 per cent negative results were found for the immigrants moving from countries UK and New Zealand, whereas it was highest for India and China by 14 per cent and 13 per cent respectively followed by Vietnam by 7 per cent. The results showed by this study a U turn to the patterns which were experienced during the years 2007 to 2009 and also that the immigration has increased at high rate since last 12 months.
