The smart house

After a tough day the office, the last thing you want to do is come to do all the things that you really hate doing, such as cleaning, shopping or ironing. in the near future you may not have to do all this work thanks to new technology that allows you to have a networked home. Imagine walking into your house and finding that the lights, the heating and even the radio are already turned on. They were given the command by your car as you were pulling into your driveway; you didnt have to do anything. In a very short time, all household appliances will have a chip that allows them to talk to other appliances and be connected to the internet so that they can be controlled from anywhere. Feeling a little hungry? You go into the kitchen to find your obedient coffee pot that you had called on your cellular phone this morning has shut itself down because you forgot to turn it off as you were rushing to the office. Your refrigerator is always full of essential food items, because it keeps track of what you consume and sends your store a message when you are out of something. Similarly, the trashcan outside your house has been emptied because it was sent an online message this morning. You have several egg-shaped wireless digital cameras in your interactive television and to your cellular phone. This way, you can check that to your babysitter is looking after your children wherever you are. Our lives will be changed in the next 15 years by technology, and specially computers. But, what would happen if we became so dependent on technology that we could not live without it? Can you imagine what would happen if were a general electrical failure? One thing is clear: every step into the future must be taken very carefully

Despus de un da duro de la oficina, la ltima cosa que quiero hacer es venir a hacer todas las cosas que realmente odio hacer, tales como limpieza, compras o planchar. en un futuro prximo es posible que no tenga que hacer todo este trabajo gracias a la nueva tecnologa que le permite tener un hogar interconectado. Una cosa est clara: cada paso en el futuro hay que tener mucho cuidado.
