FINDER TELESCOPES
A finder telescope is a small, low power spotting scope that rides piggy- back on the main telescopes tube. The finders wide field of view shows a much larger area of the sky, making it easier to locate and centering faint objects in the main telescopes once colliminated. This advance glass filter is a multi purpose filter with many uses. This neodymium glass gives the filter characteristics that are useful in many ways to the observing astronomer with a small telescope up to 150mm (6 inch) aperture. Both side filter surfaces are precision optically polished and carefully antireflection coated to give the best optical results. The filters uses are describe below: The huge number of refractors manufactured today use focal ratios that are short by traditional value. These suffer from secondary colour (fals colour) that shows itself as a violet/blue haze around bright objects and can be quite distracting. The filter will reduce this fals colour and thereby improving the image sharpness. All refractors below 150mm will benifit ! Although the filter is not a nebular filter, it has the effect of darkening the sky, increasing the contrast of deep sky galaxies and nebulae. The neodymium filter rejects low pressure sodium light and several other man made light sources. This filter transmits a broad band of visible light while rejecting those unwanted spectral lines. This filter can be used for enhancing planetary detail, and is specially good on Mars and Jupiter (GRSGreat Red Spot).

Most effective when it is in use with larger, fast focus telescopes in a light polluted sky. These filters dramatically improve image contrast by removing most of the noise or ambient light from the background sky. Light from natural oxygen emission, ionised mercury and sodium (vapour lamps) are selectively removed, while emission nebula wavelengths are allowed through. The effect of the filter is that nebular light reaching the eye is observed visually in dramatically increased detail, while the effect of unwanted city light are greatly reduced. NEW ASTRO SOLAR Safety Film

High quality objective - filters for observing / photographing the Sunspots, Solar / Partial Eclipses, transit of Mercury and Venus with binoculars, spotting scope, telescopes and camera. Specially CE-tested safety film with high quality optical characteristics reduces intensity of sun light by 99.999%. Astro Solar safety film is a specially manufactured streak and blister free foil only 0.012mm thick and attains the optical quality of plane parallel glass filters. The base material is not Mylar. The highly uniform molecular structure of this material is the result in nuclear elementary particle physics. The coating is subject to constant quality control. Its reflective property of over 99.999% has been the German Republic Bureau of Standards and Confirmity with EU norm 89/686 is certified with CE symbol. It reduces the intensity of sun light by factor of over 100,000. Coating on both sides of the foil ensures a highly uniform filtering. While neutralising the occasional microscopic holes in the coating (which are also much more present n glass filters). One layer of this foil is sufficient for the construction of a safe, high resolution solar filter. The quality of the solar image is immeasurable, better than what can be achieved by using a so-called Mylar rescue blankets or similar materials, which must be used in several layers. Base Astro - Solar is extremely clear and homogenous. It is specially treated 1) To absorb internal reflections (reducing haziness present in other films). 2) To reduce internal stresses which dramatically improve the optical performance over Mylar and similar filters. 3) Gives neutral white image of the Sun without any colour, against a black background sky. Astro-Solar filter is a very flexible substance by nature. When mounted in the filter cell, it will be quite wrinkled. Dont be upset by the appearance because the best resolution is obtained when the material is slightly relaxed or wrinkled.
This filter features two polarizing elements which can be rotated relative to each other, varying light transmission from 5-70%. Although light is diminished accross the spectrum , this filter effectively increases the contrast on all planets as well as reduces the glare of bright objects. It is specially good on telescopes with spider vanes, as the polarizers can be used to diminish the contrast lost due to diffraction spikes.
PLANETVIEW FILTERS (Individual Colour Filters)

Veteran astronomers are convinced that planetary observations are almost always dramatically improved by colour filters. Earths atmosphere is in constant fluctuation: turbulent air currents blur fine surface detail on solar system objects viewed through a telescope. Faint contrasting area blend together due to irradiation - a distortion of the boundaries between light and dark surfaces. Using planetview filters, the scattering of interfering wavelengths is enormously reduced. With filters the smeared, pale bands of Jupiter resolve into loops and festoons. Delicate markings appear on Saturns globe, and the Cassini ring division darkens and solidifies, Mars Polar caps stand out like tiny pearls, and the Lunar rills acquire greater depths and contrast. Bad seeing becomes acceptable; good seeing becomes superb. For Visual use simply thread these filters into the 1.25 eyepiece barrel of any imported or Super Astro Eyepiece / Plossl Eyepiece. For an ASTRO EYEPIECE 1.25 OD an extra adaptor is supplied at an extra cost since Astro Eyepiece does not have an inbuilt thread to adopt this new variety of colour filters.

Fully automatic tracking of the astronomical objects. The advance system manufactured commercially with drive system of unparalleled precision. The STARTRACKER SYSTEM motor drive is included as an additional accessory. It may be added at a later date, if desired. The motor drive system operates from any standard 220 Volt 50 Hz A.C. outlet. Tracking is enabled by a synchronous timing motor, actuated through a precision reduction gear system. With the motor drive the observer need not touch the telescope to follow the Star, Planets, Moon or Deep - Sky objects: the drive system enables the instrument to track these objects automatically, compensating fully for the effects of the Earths rotation. REFRACTING TELESCOPE SKYVIEW

Refracting telescopes are renowned for providing superb view of the planets, the Moon and the stars. They are ideal scopes for terrestial observation too. Refractors have a long, relatively thin tube with a main (objective) lens at the front that focuses the incoming light, which is then redirected to a comfortable viewing angle by a diagonal mirror. This precision 90 degree star diagonals feature fully coated mirror, delivering superior image fidelity. It lets you view objects that are at a 90 degree angle from the direction the telescope is pointing, thereby allowing comfortable viewing when the telescope is pointed at, or near, the Zenith (i.e. directly overhead). The resulting image is right side up but will be reversed from left to right. Housings are black - ABS plastic with thumb screw to secure the eyepiece in place.

SELECTING THE RIGHT MAGNIFIER FOR YOUR PURPOSE
SIZE versus POWER IN MAGNIFIERS:

A perfect magnifier would be lightweight, have a larger diameter, have a wide viewing area, and offer high, distortion-free magnification. However, incorporating all of these features into one unit is optically impossible. The magnifying power of a lens depends on its focal length (f.l.). The focal length, in turn, depends on the lens curvature; the greater the curvature, the shorter the focal length and the greater the power. In the design of a simple, inexpensive magnifier, the lens diameter will typically decrease as the curvature increases to provide higher power, the diameter generally increases with a resulting increase in viewing area. In addition, distortion generally increases with an increase in curvature. Thus, a magnifier with a large diameter typically offers more viewing area and less power. So both wide field of view and high magnifying power cannot be incorporated into a single design without elaborating high-cost lenses.
