EPHESIANS 4; Our Walk With Christ ; V 1 The Start of our Walk with Christ ; As the prisoner of the Lord.

A bondservant, called out from the world to serve the Lord and worship God. Set apart to be shining lights in the world's darkness. MATTHEW 28 v 19-20 ; Go ye therefore and teach all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you, and lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Our walk with Jesus starts with a turning away from our sins and a turning to God for forgiveness and with a desire to change our way of life and let Jesus take control of our life which previously was controlled by satan and his demons. V 2 ; Simplicity of our walk with Jesus. With meekness and humbleness of heart, appreciating the sacrifice at Calvary that Jesus made to redeem us and reconcile us with God. PSALM 37 v 3-5 ; Trust in the Lord and do good, so shall you dwell in the land and verily you shall be fed. Delight yourselves also in the Lord and He shall give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way unto the Lord, trust also in Him and He shall bring it to pass. And He shall bring forth your righteousness as the light and your Judgement as the noon day. God just asks us to trust Him as a little child trusts its father. Believe in Him and seek to do that which God asks of us and He will bless us in our walk with Jesus. V 3 ; Striving in our walk with Christ ; Endeavouring to keep the love and unity among the believers. Committed to the guidance of the Holy Spirit. PSALM 40 v 10 ; I have not hid your righteousness within my heart, I have declared your faithfulness and your salvation, I have not concealed your loving kindness and your truth continually preserves me. We should strive to be living testimonies to the graciousness and love of God toward us. May people see Jesus Christ living out His purposes in us and through us. v 4 ..The Spirit of God in our walk with Jesus. To ever remind us that we have been called out of the world to walk with Jesus and be His disciples. To use our God given gifts to the glory of God. I beseech you therefore brethren by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. JOHN 1`4 , v 16-17 ; And I will pray the Father and He shall give you another Comforter, that He may abide with you for ever. Even the Spirit of truth whom the world cannot receive, because it sees Him not, neither knows Him, But you know Him for He dwells with you and shall be in you. The Holy Spirit indwelling within us to teach us the things in the Bible that God wants us to understand and obey. We have daily guidance from the word of God and the Holy Spirit. V 5 ; Saviour in our walk with Christ ; The mighty Son of God, our Saviour, Redeemer, Sin Bearer and friend JOHN 6 v 68-69 ; Then Simon Peter answered Him , Lord to whom shall we go ? you have the words of eternal life. And we believe and are sure that You are that Christ, the Son of the living God. JOHN 14 v 6 ; Jesus said unto him, I am the way, the truth and the life; no man comes unto the Father but by Me. Let us reach out and hold His hand in ours and rejoice that He watches over us each day. V 6 ; Strength in our walk with Christ. The love and power of God is behind us, in front of us, alongside of us and all about us MATTHEW 11 v 28-30 ; Come unto Me all you that labour and are heavy laden and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn of me for I am meek and lowly in heart, and you shall find rest unto your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light. We need the power given us in the baptism of the Holy Ghost and to use the gifts given us then that the name of God may be glorified. Zecharaiah 4 v 6 ; Then he answered and spoke to me, saying, This is the word of the Lord unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit says the Lord of Hosts. V 7 ; Sanctification in our walk with Christ. Christ's call to us to follow Him is made practicable by our willingness to separate ourselves from that which would detract us from the things of God .

ROMANS 12 v 2 ;And be not conformed to this world but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. We learned long ago that we cannot control our lives to be pleasing to God, so if we do not accept Jesus as Redeemer and all that means, then satan has control of us. Let us continue to worship God and follow Jesus in sincerity and truth. ROMANS 6 vl6 ; Know you not that to whom you yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants you are to whom you obey, whether of sin unto death or of obedience unto righteousness. Let us follow Jesus and walk beside Him along paths of righteousness. V8; Secret of our walk in Christ; Christ is risen and He has brought us into the family of God. Thus we have God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit to watch over us and guide us. What might and power is ours as we walk together with the Godhead into eternity. JOHN 14 v 23 ; Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love Me he will keep My words and My Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our abode with him. EPHESIANS 4 v 1-3 ; I therefore the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that you walk worthy of the vocation wherewith you are called, With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love. Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit. V 9 ; Sights set for our walk with Christ ; Turn your eyes upon Jesus, look full in His wonderful face. He is our daily companion and intercedes for us in heaven, so let us get to know Him better. Let us endeavour to reach the standards of a disciple of His. HEBREWS 13 v 5-6 ; Let your conversation be without covetousness and be content with such things as you have, for He has said, I will never leave you nor forsake you So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me. V 10 ; Sealed and safe in our walk with Christ; His death and resurrection made it possible for us to be forgiven and sealed with the Holy Ghost. JOHN 10 v27-28 ; My sheep hear My voice and I know them and they follow Me . And I give unto them eternal life and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of My hand. V 11 ; Stewardship in-our walk with Christ. God has given each one of us certain gifts and talents to use for His glory and the betterment of His Church. Proverbs 3 v 27 ; Withhold not good from them to whom it is due, when it is In the power of your hand to do it. LUKE 4 v 18 ; The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me because He has anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; H e has sent Me to heal the broken hearted, to preach deliverance to the captives and recovering of sight to the blind. To set at liberty them that are bruised. To preach the acceptable year of the Lord. Jesus has gone back to heaven but has given the Christians the work of tending to the needy and sick, on His behalf and in His name. V 12 ; Significance of our walk with Christ. For the perfecting of the saints, for the rescuing of the lost and to lift the name of Jesus higher. That we might produce the fruit of the Spirit to the glory of God. GALATIANS 5 v 22-23 ; But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance, against such there in no law. There is so much to do for Jesus and seemingly so little time left to work in His vineyard Let us work while it is day and earn the blessing which God has promised to those who love and obey Him. MALACHI 3 v 10 ; Bring you all the tithes into the storehouse that there may be meat in My house and prove Me now hearwith says the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven and pour you out a blessing that there shall not be room enough to receive it. V 13 ; Specifications of our walk with Jesus. The highest moral standards are required by Christ's disciples If we are not to make a mockery of Christianity. May people see us living out the principles that God has

laid down for the benefit and welfare of His children. 2 TIMOTHY 3 v 16-17 ; All Scripture is given by revelation of God and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction . for instruction in righteousness that the man of God may be perfect thouroughly furnished unto all good works . That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works. Let us work together for the glory of God and the saving of lost souls. V 14; Submission in our walk with Jesus ; Putting away once and for all our earlier rebellious state and now working hand in hand with the Holy Spirit to fulfil the mission Jesus left with us when He returned to heaven. HEBREWS 12 v 9 . Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence ; shall we not much rather be in into subjection unto the father of spirits and lives. Let us be willing bondservants, serving in God's vineyard and bringing in much fruit Into His storehouse. We frequently need a little chastisement as we wander off the path and God has to bring us back into line if we are to continue to walk with Jesus in paths of holiness. V 15 ; Strivings in our walk with Christ. It is the strivings and the testings that will build up our faith and as we overcome each testing we can rejoice and worship God who gives us the power and the strength. PSALM 119 v 9-11 ; where withall shall a young man cleanse his ways ? by taking heed thereto according to your word. With my whole heart have I sought you, 0 let me not wander from your commandments. Thy word have I hid in my heart that I might not sin against you. Like driving a racing car, we have to pay strict attention to the Job in hand. As we live out our Christian life here on earth while waiting for Jesus to come for His church, let us keep our minds on the task of living for Jesus and not the world. V 16 ; Success of our walk in Christ. EPHESIANS 4, v 30-32 And grieve not the Holy Spirit of God, whereby you are sealed unto the day of redemption. Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamour and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice; And be kind to one another tender hearted forgiving one another even as God for Christ's sake has forgiven you. If all Christians will keep in mind the cost of our redemption and why it was necessary, they should have little difficulty in proudly wearing their robes of righteousness. Let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify your Father which is in heaven. V 17 ; Spectacle of our walk with Christ. People can read us like a book and each day as they read the next page some are put off Christianity by what they see in some Christians. May we rejoice and be in a praising attitude when we set off each day walking towards eternity with Jesus. LUKE 8 v 17 ; For nothing is secret that shall not be made manifest, neither anything hid that shall not be known and come abroad. May we get each day's strength from Jesus as we walk at His side. JOHN 10 v 27-28 My sheep hear My voice and I know them and they follow me and I give unto them eternal life, And they shall never perish neither shall any man pluck them out of My hand. v 19 sacrifice in our walk with Christ. 2 CORINTHIANS 6 v 14 Be not unequally yoked together with unbelievers; for what fellowship has righteousness with unrlghteousness and what communion has light with darkness And what agreement has the temple Of God with idols ? The call for the Christian to separate themselves from the evilness of this world is urgent Time and again God had to punish Israel for intermarrying with the heathen amongst whom they sometimes dwelt. They began worshipping heathen idols and turned away from God This still happens in this day and age because we live amongst those who have rejected Jesus Christ as their Saviour, and worship their own idols. V20 ; The Search in our walk with Christ. Jesus did not teach us hate, anger, fear, distrust and apathy toward Christian teachings. instead He told us to go forth and teach the nations. To search for the lost souls and preach the coming kingdom of Jesus All we need to know about God is seen in Jesus and the word of God. let us be diligent In the reading of the Scripture and communicating with God. ISAIAH 55 v 6-7 ; Seek ye the Lord while He may be found, call upon Him while He is near. Let the wicked forsake His way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts , and let him return unto his Lord and He will have mercy upon him and to our God for He will abundantly pardon.
