5.1.2 Transport
Transport of Trimoterm light building panels from the factory to a site of assembly is performed by trucks or rail. The load should be fastened on a means of transport by textile bands. A crane or crane lorry can be used for transporting stacks, and a forklift truck for stacks shorter than 6 m. Moving or pushing of stacks by fork points is not permitted. When stacks are transported by a crane no steel wires could be used, but transport bands of suitable load bearing capacity should be urgently applied. When loading stackes attention should be paid so that the centre of gravity is between the forks or transport bands. Only one staple should be transported at a time. When unloading from a truck the tarred canvas of the truck should be fully uncovered, the bearing frame of the tarred canvas should be fully (also from sides) removed so that panels could not get damaged upon lifting. Transport by a forklift truck is permitted only for stack length up to 6 m:
ALWAYS TRANSPORT ONLY ONE STACK AT A TIME! Lifting by all kinds of cranes should be carried out by a transport carrier:

Transport binding
Binding for transport by truck
Stacks are to be fixed on a truck by textile bands at a maximal distance of 2.5 m. The use of steel cable or wire for binding is not permitted. A board in a thickness of 5 cm and width of min. 20 cm should be placed under each band over both stacks. Textile bands should be put on the Styro foam place and minimally 20 cm from the joint of a chipboard or cardboard. In case there is no Styro foam placed where the stacks should be tied, it should be additionally inserted. When stretching textile bands the joint between a board and the top panel in the stack should be controlled. Attention should be paid since no deformation of the top panel sheet metal could be caused. During transport a driver should control the load stability on a truck and tightness of bands from time to time. Should bands get too loose, they should be adequately re-stretched.
When unloading stacks the handling instructions enclosed should be strictly followed. Any other handling method might cause damage.

Packages on a wagon should be tied among each other and on the means of transport wagon. Packages are tied by a steel rope in a distance of approx. 2.5 m or at least each package twice. Smaller packages should be tied together and protected against moving. Packages are fixed on a wagon by textile stripes or wire. When wire is used sheet metal should be placed under edge area sheet metal size approx. 15 cm x 15 cm. Special attention should be paid since the top panel should not get deformed.
When unloading stacks the handling instructions enclosed in the stacks should be strictly followed. Any other handling method might cause damage.

5.1.3 Storing
When storing Trimo building panels the following should be considered: It is recommended to store staples in the original packaging. When storing panels in the open air, they should be protected against the sun. If they are not protected the removal of the protective foil on panels might be difficult. It is recommended to remove the foil after three months. Stacks should be placed on a flat and solid surface so that a stacks does not sink or slide onto the ground, which is dangerous specially in winter, when ice is formed on the foil.

5.2.1 Mounting Instructions Roofs made of Trimoterm SNV panels General instructions and recommendations Roof panels Trimoterm SNV can be screwed into roof load-bearing purlins made of steel, wood or concrete with a steel profile built in (Fig. 1).
Fig. 1
Minimal roof inclination min. = 3o (~5 %) and maximal allowed distance among supports are to be considered. The distance mentioned is determined in TRIMO technical documentation - Allowed distances among supports for Trimoterm SNV roof panels (Fig. 2). Required measures regarding roof inclination are determined in Section 5.4.
Fig. 2
Minimal width of panel placing on intermediate supports is 60 mm, and 40 mm on edge supports (Fig. 3). Panels Trimoterm SNV have a protective foil on top and bottom faces in order to protect varnished surfaces from any possible damage that might occur during transport, handling or mounting. From the bottom face the foil is removed directly before mounting of a separate panel. The top foil is removed directly before conclusion of works. Where it is necessary the foil is removed already during mounting (for example on a longitudinal joint of two panels, under screws, flashing ... (Fig. 4).

Fig. 4
If panels are stored for a longer period of time, the foil should be removed latest after the expiry of three months. When panels are stored in the open air, they should be protected against the sun. If this is not done, removal of the foil can be difficult.
5.2.1/1
200
In case panels are cut during mounting only the use of scissors and saws is permitted that do not heat the spot cut to a high temperature (Fig. 5). High temperature causes destruction of anti-corrosive protection in immediate vicinity of the spot cut. Therefore use of various grinding machines is prohibited for this purpose! All small metal particles that appear as a consequence of cutting and drilling should be immediately removed from panel surfaces or in worst case when days work has been finished. Marking and scratching by wire nails or any other sharp objects that might damage the protective paint coating are prohibited. Before each panel is mounted it should be checked if the end trapezoid placed on a neighbouring panel (Fig. 6) is completely clean. If not, it should be cleaned well!
Fig. 5
Fig. 6
On longitudinal sides there is mineral wool in the panels protected by self-adhesive tape. The tape need not be removed before mounting (Fig. 6a).
Fig. 6a
Panel transfer Use of vacuum grippers with a protective device is recommended for lifting and placing of panels on the place of building in as it is shown in Fig. 7. On places where a vacuum gripper sucks the panel a protective foil should be removed from the panel before it is lifted. The procedure of panel placing on a roof is shown in Fig. 8.
Fig. 7
Fig. 8
The use of mechanical grippers is also possible where panel placing is performed according to the stages presented in Fig.9. In case of light panels manual transfer and mounting are also possible.

Seal
Only screws made of stainless steel, stainless steel washers of a diameter 19 mm and EPDM seals can be used for screwing. Minimal screw thickness is 6.3 mm. Panels are fixed exclusively on trapezoid places. It is necessary to use spherical caps with seals (Fig. 10).
Self-cutting screws of type A (Fig. 11) are used for fixing in wood purlins and thin steel purlins (steel thickness up to 3 mm). Self-cutting screws of type B (Fig. 11) are used for fixing in steel purlins in a thickness of 3 mm or more. Use of self-drilling screws of type C (Fig. 11) is allowed for fixing in steel purlins.

Type C
In case of fixing onto a steel sub-construction by means of screws of type A and type B a hole of a suitable diameter should be drilled through a panel and sub-construction in accordance with the instructions of the screw producer. As an example, the table presents necessary drilled hole sizes of the producer SFS Stadler. In case screws of type C are used, no preliminary drilling of holes is permitted.

Drain
Before the first panel is placed, it should be checked if the geometry of the sub-construction is correct. The first panel is placed in the end axis of the building by adequate alignment in the eaves, rectangular to longitudinal axis of the building. Panels in the eaves should have a drain made in a length of 50 mm in order to prevent mineral wool moistening in a panel (Fig. 21). The drain is usually made by cutting off bottom sheet metal and mineral wool when the panel is made in TRIMO.

5.2.2/1
211
On the top and bottom sides there is a protective foil on Fig. 4a Trimoterm FTV panels; its purpose is protection of varnished surfaces from any possible damage that might occur during transport, handling and mounting. The foil should be removed from the rear side before mounting of an individual panel. The foil on the front side is to be removed immediately before the work is concluded. Where it is necessary the foil can be removed already during mounting (for example on a longitudinal joint of two panels, under screws, flashing ...(Fig. 4a). If panels are stored for a longer period of time, the foil should be removed latest after the expiry of three months. When panels are stored in the open air, they should be protected against the sun, since the removal of the foil can be difficult. In case panels are cut during mounting the use of scissors and saws is permitted since they do not heat the spot cut to a high temperature (Fig. 5). High temperature causes destruction of anti-corrosive protection in immediate vicinity of the spot cut. Therefore, the use of various grinding machines is prohibited for this purpose! All small metal particles that appear as a consequence of cutting and drilling should be immediately removed from panel surfaces, but in the worst case when day's work has been finished.
Fig. 5
Marking and scratching by wire nails or any similar sharp objects that might damage the protective paint coating are strictly prohibited.
Panel transfer
Mounting begins in the end axis of an individual faade. Before panels are mounted it should be checked if the geometry of sub-construction is correct since it is a precondition for quality performance. In case of geometrical irregularities, they should be eliminated by suitable cutting of initial and end panels. The panels are leant on a fundamental angle block that partly transfers vertical loading. Vacuum grippers are recommended for lifting and arrangement of panels on the place of mounting in case of a vertical faade (Fig. 6). On places where vacuum grippers suck a panel, the protective foil should be removed before the panel is lifted. Mechanical grippers can be also used for vertical faades (Fig. 7). Dimensions of grippers and pins should be determined statically with respect to thickness and weight of panels. Drilling holes for pins are made on places that are later on covered by flashing or where PVC plugs are inserted.

Use of special mechanical grippers that are placed on a longitudinal joint of Trimoterm FTV Panels (Fig. 8) is recommended for mounting of a horizontal faade. Two grippers are required for work with a lift. The grippers are delivered only if ordered and in scope of panel supply including instructions for work with grippers.

Self-cutting screws of type A (Fig. 9) are used for fixing onto wood purlins and thin steel purlins (steel thickness up to 3 mm). Self-cutting screws of type B (Fig. 9) are used for fixing onto steel purlins in a thickness of 3 mm and more. Selfdrilling screws of type C (Fig. 9) are used for fixing onto steel purlins.
In case of fixing onto a steel sub-construction and use of screws of type A and type B a hole of adequate diameter should be drilled through a panel and subconstruction in accordance with the instructions of the screw producer. The table presents some examples of required drilling hole sizes of the producer SFS Stadler. In case screws of type C are used, preliminary drilling of holes is not permitted.

Fundamental angle block (Pos. 1) is screwed in the concrete fundamental beam at an adequate height. It serves as horizontal levelling. The profile (Pos. 6) is screwed on the top of the fundamental beam. It should assure vertical levelling and should be aligned with the other faade profiles. Sealing tape is fixed on the concrete beam. It should be placed very close to the bottom fundamental profile Pos.1. When the first panel is mounted, a fundamental drain element (Pos. 2) is placed under the panel. The panel is placed onto a suitable place, leaning on an angle block Pos. 1, aligned with respect to the sub-construction and screwed. Corner final element Sequence of mounting: First the inner corner mask is placed on faade profiles (Pos.2) and temporarily fixed (i.e. riveted to faade profiles. Sealing tape made of foamed polyethylene or foamed PVC 3x15 mm (Pos. 4) is previously fixed on a mask. Requirement for sealing tape is determined in Section 5.4 Sealing of Trimoterm panels with respect to constructionphysical conditions. On the first faade the panel is placed without any additional cutting. In case Trimoterm FTV panels are fixed whose thickness exceeds 120 mm, the second panel, inner sheet metal and mineral wool should be cut accordingly.

Cutting is recommended also in case of thinner panels. The first panel is therefore screwed slightly over the level of faade profiles of the second faade. Space between the panels should be filled with well compressible mineral wool (Pos.3). External corner mask is placed on the corner and riveted by min. 2 rivets / m1 on each edge. Inner corner mask is riveted in the same way. Prolongation of the mask on the external side should be performed by an overlap of min. 50-mm.
Faade prolongation In case of higher faades a detail of faade prolongation should be performed (max. panel length is 14 m). Prolongation is performed on an expanded or double purlin (Fig. 21). Minimal support width shall be 100 mm (50 + 50). Sequence of mounting: First sealing tape (Pos. 3) is fixed on the faade profile. Requirement for sealing tape is determined in Section 5.4 Sealing of Trimoterm panels with respect to construction-physical conditions. Bottom set of faade panels Trimoterm FTV is screwed. Load-bearing angle block is riveted on the faade profile (Pos.1). Soft mineral wool (Pos. 5) is inserted between the load-bearing angle block and bottom panel. Before each top panels is mounted mineral wool should be cut in a width of approx. 2 mm, 21 mm from the external side and approx. 30 - 35 mm deep. Cutting is required for the performance of a drain element. The cut should be made by means of a suitable guide, by a circular saw or knife. In case external sheet metal is more than 21 mm deep on the panel edge, it should be preliminarily cut. When the first external top panel is mounted, a drain element (Pos. 2) is placed under the panel. The panel with a drain element is placed on an adequate spot, leant on an angle block Pos. 1, aligned with respect to the sub-construction and screwed. Special attention should be paid to a screw that should not pierce the drain. Drain prolongation should be performed by an overlap and sealed by seal putty.

Fixing of horizontal faade panels - Variant 1 Panels Trimoterm FTV are suitable also for horizontal lying. Thereby, panels should be correctly placed so that water draining is possible (see Fig. 2). Advantage of horizontal lying is the fact that no additional sub-construction (faade profiles) is required, since basic supports could be used. Due to the fact that sheet metal thickness of these supports usually exceeds 10 mm it is necessary to additionally weld pipes or similar profiles with thinner sheet metal (Fig. 22) on them because of screwing problems. Minimal placing width should not be shorter than 100 mm (50 +50).
Fig. 22
Sequence of mounting: First a sealing tape (Pos. 3) is fixed on a faade profile. Requirement for sealing tape is determined in Section 5.4 Sealing of Trimoterm panels with respect to construction-physical conditions. Strengthening elements should be inserted (Pos. 2) before an individual panel is screwed. For the insertion of strengthening elements a cut should be made in mineral wool under the sheet metal. Space between the left and right panel should be filled with soft mineral wool (Pos. 4). Finally a cover flashing (Pos. 1) is fixed over the screws. Preliminarily, butyl-sealing putty is fixed on the flashing. The flashing is riveted by min. 2 rivets /m1 on each edge. When horizontal and vertical faades are performed by Trimoterm FTV panels it should be tried hard to place screws on spots that are not visible or could be covered by plumbing elements as it is shown in Fig. 22.

Fixing of horizontal faade panels by Al fixing profile Fixing by Al profile enables fast and esthetical fixing without any visible fixing elements. The panels are placed directly on the supports of load-bearing construction. Since they are usually made of sheet metal whose thickness exceeds 8 mm a pipe (Pos. 6) should be additionally welded because of the screwing problems. Before panels are finally fixed by Al profile, they are temporarily fixed by Z profile and kniping screws 6.3 x 25 mm. Z profile is inserted in a preliminarily cut made under the inner sheet metal of the panel and riveted as it is shown in Fig. 24. Z profile is inserted on the top panel edge (Fig. 25).

There is mineral wool on longitudinal sides of panels that is protected by a self-adhesive tape (Fig.3). The tape need not be removed before the assembly.
Trimoterm SNV panels have a protective foil on the top and bottom sides in order to protect varnished surfaces against possible damage caused during transportation, handling and assembly. The foil is removed from the backside before the assembly of an individual panel. The foil on the front side is removed directly before the work is finished. On the places where this is necessary, the foil is removed already during the assembly (i.e. on the longitudinal joint of two panels, under screws, flashing ...(Fig. 4)

If panels are stored for a longer period of time, the foil is to be removed latest after the expiry of three months. When panels are stored in the open air, they should be protected against the sun, otherwise the foil removal might be problematic.
5.2.3/1
220
In case panels are cut during the assembly, only the use of scissors and saws is permitted since scissors and saws do not heat the place of cutting to a high temperature (Fig. 5). High temperature causes destruction of anticorrosive protection in the immediate vicinity of the place of cutting. Therefore, the use of various grinding machines is prohibited for this purpose! All small metal particles that appear as a consequence of cutting and drilling are to be immediately removed, in the worst case they shall be removed from the panel surfaces when the work of the day has been finished.
Fig. 5
Marking and use of wire nails or any other sharp objects that might damage the protective paint coating are prohibited.
Panel transportation The assembly starts in the final axis of an individual faade. Before the assembly of a panel starts, the correctness of sub-construction geometry shall be checked which is a pre-condition for quality performance. In case of incorrect geometry corrections will be made by adequate cutting of initial and final panels. Panels are leaned on a fundamental angle block that partly transmits vertical loading. When panels are to be lifted and placed to the site of building - in case of a vertical faade- the use of vacuum grippers / clams is recommended (Fig. 6). On places where a vacuum gripper / clam sucks the panel the protective foil should be removed from the panel before it is lifted.
Fig. 6
Fig. 7
Use of mechanical grippers / clams is also possible (Fig.7). Dimensions of the gripper / clamp and plugs are to be statically determined in relation to the thickness and weight of panels. Boreholes for the plugs are made on spots that are subsequently covered by flashings or PVC pegs are inserted.

Profile Item 5 is screwed to the top of the fundamental beam. It should help achieve the vertical levelling and it shall be in the same surface as other faade profiles. Sealing tape is fixed on the concrete beam. It shall be placed nearest to the bottom fundamental profile Item 1. Panel is placed on a suitable place, leaned on the angle block- Item 1 and levelled with respect to the sub-construction and screwed. Corner finishing element Sequence of assembly Initially, inner corner mask (Fig. 20, Item 2) is placed on faade profile and it is temporarily fixed (i.e. riveted on faade profiles). Sealing tape made of foamed polyethylene or foamed PVC 3 x 15 mm (Item 4) is previously fixed on the mask file). The requirement for the sealing tape is determined in Section 5.4 Sealing of Trimoterm panels with respect to constructional physical conditions. Panel without any additional cutting is placed on the first faade. In case when Trimoterm SNV panels in a thickness exceeding 120 mm are used, the inner sheet metal and part of mineral wool are to be cut from the next panel.
Fig. 20

Cutting is recommended also in case of thinner panels. The first panel is therefore screwed slightly over the surface of faade profiles of the next faade. The space between the panels is to be filled by well-compressed mineral wool (Item 3). External corner mask is placed on the corner and riveted by minimally 2 rivets / m1 on each edge. The inner corner mask is riveted in the same way. Prolongation of the mask on the external side is to be performed by an overlapping of min. 50 mm. Prolongation of faade In case of higher faades a detail of faade prolongation is to be performed (max. panel length is 14 m). Prolongation is performed on an expanded or double purlin (Fig. 21). Minimal support width shall be 100 mm (50 + 50). Sequence of assembly: The load-bearing angle block is riveted on the faade profile (Item 1). Sealing tape is fixed (Item 2). Requirement for sealing tape is determined in Section 5.4 Sealing of Trimoterm panels with respect to constructional physical conditions. Bottom series of faade panels Trimoterm SNV is screwed. Soft mineral wool (Item 4) is inserted between the load-bearing angle block and bottom panels. Top series of panels with overlapping of 50 mm is screwed on the sub-construction. If the dripping part is cleaned from the bottom side should be checked before the assembly of an individual panel starts.

5.2.4 Mounting Instructions Roofs made of profiled sheet metal with Trimoval TPO
General instructions and recommendations Roof panels Trimoval TPO 1000 and Trimoval TPO Dom can be screwed onto load-bearing purlins made of steel, wood or concrete with a steel profile built in (Fig. 1).
Fig. 1
Minimal roof inclination min. = 5o (8.8 %) and maximal allowed distance among supports should be considered. The distance is determined in TRIMO technical documentation Allowed distances among supports for Trimoval TPO 1000 and Trimoval TPO Dom roof panels (Fig. 2).
Fig. 2
Minimal width of panel placing on intermediate supports is 60 mm, and 40 mm on edge supports (Fig. 3).

There is a foil on Trimoval TPO panels on the top surface in order to protect varnished surfaces from any possible damage that might occur during transport, handling and mounting. The foil is removed immediately before the work is finished. Where it is necessary the foil is removed already during mounting (e.g. on a longitudinal joint of two panels, under screws, flashing ...(Fig. 4). If panels are stored for a longer time, the foil should be removed latest after the expiry of three months. When panels are stored in the open air, they should be protected against the sun; otherwise the removal of foil can be difficult.

Before each panel is mounted, it should be checked if the end trapezoid, placed on the neighbouring panel (Fig. 5) is completely clean. If it is not, it should be cleaned spotlessly!
On all places where water comes from the panel (at the drain, neck gutter, behind openings, ...) the polyurethane sprayed coating should be completely removed from the bottom face of a panel in a length of min. 50 mm (Fig. 6).
Fig. 6
min.50 mm
Fig. 7
In the drain the sheet metal of panels should be additionally bent among trapezoids at an angle of 450 downward (Fig. 7). Bending should be performed by special plumbing tools.
On the edge part of the panels in the ridge the sheet metal should be bent on the lowest part among trapezoids at an angle of 900 upward in a length of 2530 mm regardless of the roof inclination. Before bending polyurethane should be removed from the bottom face on this place. Bending should be performed by special plumbing tools (Fig. 8).
Fig. 8
In case of longer roof panels a detail of panel prolongation (Fig. 9) should be performed. Before the top panel has been mounted, it should be checked if the overlapping part has been cleaned well. Minimal length of the overlap is 200 mm. Precompressed expansion sealing tape should be fixed on the bottom panel in two lines, the top panel placed and screwed. Screwing should be performed by use of spherical caps with washers, minimally on each second trapezoid, or in accordance with the screwing calculation. Besides these screws additional connecting screws SFS SXL2-S16-6.3x25 (producer SFS Stadler) should be screwed on all trapezoids 50 mm from the panel end.

In case of TPO roofing that is made of aluminium sheet metal walking on elevated parts of profilation (trapezoids) is prohibited since mechanical damage can be caused. Also in case of steel sheet metal walking on elevated parts of profilation (trapezoids) is not recommended. Walking in the middle part between neighbouring supports should be avoided. Areas in immediate vicinity of supports should be used as main walking paths during mounting. They should be also additionally protected (e.g. by cardboard, foil, wood, ...). Adequate shoes should be worn during mounting. In case a panel is cut during mounting only scissors and saws can be used since they do not heat the spot cut to a high temperature (Fig. 10). High temperature causes destruction of anti-corrosive protection in immediate vicinity of the spot cut. Therefore use of various grinding machines is prohibited for this purpose! All small particles that appear as a consequence of cutting and drilling should be immediately removed from panel surface, but in the worst case latest when the day's work has been finished. Marking or scratching by wire nails or similar sharp objects are prohibited since they might damage protective paint coating. Panel transfer Panels Trimoval TPO 1000 and Trimoval TPO Dom can be lifted by cranes in stacks and temporarily stored on a roof, but only under the condition of a suitable load-bearing roof sub-construction and only on roofs with small inclination (up to 100). For stack lifting only the use of suitable load carrier with distance pieces (Fig. 11) is allowed. Panels on the roof are manually arranged to a right position.

Self-cutting screws of type A (Fig. 13) are used for fixing in wood purlins and thin steel purlins (steel thickness up to 3 mm). Self-cutting screws of type B (Fig. 13) are used for fixing in steel purlins in a thickness of 3 mm or more. Self-drilling screws of type C (Fig. 139 can be also used for fixing in steel purlins. In case of fixing on a steel sub-construction and use of screws of type A and type B, a hole of suitable diameter should be drilled through a panel and subconstruction in accordance with the instructions of a screw producer. The table presents some examples of required hole sizes of the producer SFS Stadler. In case screws of type C are used, preliminary hole drilling is not permitted. In drilling holes for fixing of panels TPO Dom a stencil should be always used. In the opposite case drill sliding from the top of semi-circular profile might occur. Thereby anti-corrosive protection might be damaged.

Required number of screws The following facts influence the number of screws:
Fig. 16
wind power that depends on the location of a building and building height above the ground, type of building (open, partially open, closed), position on a roof (edge or corner areas are more exposed to a gust of wind (Fig. 16), load-bearing capacity of one fixing place.
Required number of screws is determined by an expert in statics in accordance with the standards and regulations of an individual country. The principle of screw arrangement with respect to the calculated number is shown in Fig. 17. It is recommended that a detailed calculation for an individual building is prepared by TRIMO technical department. Screwing by minimally two screws per panel in each purlin is required.
Sealing While mounting special attention should be paid to panel squeezing. There should be no air pocket in a longitudinal joint between neighbouring panels! (Fig. 18). Stretching of joints in the arrow direction is prohibited!

5.3.7 Determination of required number of screws Required number of screws should be determined mathematically for each separate building. The following facts should be considered: wind power that depends on the location of a building and height of building above the ground (loading example according to DIN 1055-Part 4; for the area of Germany it is presented in Table No. 1), type of building (open, partly open, closed) position on a faade edge areas in a width up to 2 m are more exposed to gust of wind (Fig. 15) panel colour and static system (due to temperature activity of panels there is some additional loading on fastening places in case of multi-span systems) load-bearing capacity of one fastening element.

Due to several factors and complexity of determination of required screw number we propose that the calculation is made by TRIMO Technial Department.
Roofs made of panels Trimoterm SNV, profiles Trimoval TPO and TP: The calculated number of screws for individual areas (Fig. 15) is always rounded up to a higher number. Each panel should be fastened by at least one screw on each edge profile; i.e. each panel should be fastened by minimally two screws. Maximal number of screws of an individual panel per purlin is 4. Possibilities of screw arrangement are presented in Fig.16. In case a number of screws higher than 4, fastening is possible also by use of spherical caps type B (Fig. 16a) that enables double load-bearing capacity of a fastening place.

Faades made of panels Trimoterm FTV: The calculated number of screws for individual areas (Fig. 15) is rounded up to a higher number. Each panel should be fastened on each faade purlin by minimally two screws. Minimal distance to panel edge amounting to 50 mm is to be considered (Fig. 7).
Faades made of panels Trimoterm SNV and profiles Trimoval TPO and TP: The calculated number of screws for individual areas (Fig. 15) is rounded up to a higher number. Each panel or profiled sheet metal should be fixed on each faade purlin by minimally two screws. In a joint of profiled sheet metal (Fig. 8) the screw distance amounting to 125 mm from a high trapezoid profile is to be considered.

5.4.2 Air-tightness Trimoterm FTV: Under normal conditions in a building additional sealing of longitudinal joints of panels Trimoterm FTV with respect to airtightens is not necessary. Co-efficient of air-tightness for the joint of panels Trimoterm FTV without additional sealing: a10 = 0.03 m3/(hmdaPan) was measured by a laboratory test according to ISO 6589. In case of special conditions in a building (negative or over-pressure) it is recommended to additionally insert a seal in the joint on the inner (warm) side (Fig. 6). Co-efficient of air-tightness for the joint of panels Trimoterm FTV with inserted seal a10 = 0.02 m3/(hmdaPan) was measured by a laboratory test according to ISO 6589.
Trimoterm SNV: Joint of inner sheet metal in panels Trimoterm SNV is identical to joints of panels Trimoterm FTV. With respect to the assurance of air-tightness similar establishments are valid as in case of Trimoterm FTV (Fig.7).

On the basis of calculations according to DIN 4108, measurements conducted and practical experience a diagram distinguishing three areas of inner climate conditions in buildings has been prepared. It is based on an assumption of normal, regular room ventilation. It can be applied in Slovenia, Germany and in other countries with similar climate conditions. It is valid for roofs made of panels Trimoterm SNV as well as faades made of panels Trimoterm FTV and Trimoterm SNV.

Sealing of longitudinal joints is not necessary, if the inclination is 5 or more. In case additional sealing of joints on the external side is necessary (i.e. roof inclination 3-5) sealing should be performed also on inner (warm) side (Fig. 1). Requirement for additional sealing of inner flashing is evident from type details. A seal (fig. 6 and fig. 7) should be inserted in the longitudinal joint on the inner (warm) side. Requirement for additional sealing of inner flashing is evident from type details. Before a neighbouring panel is mounted, butyl or silicone putty (fig. 8) is inserted in longitudinal joint on the inner (warm) side. Requirement for additional sealing of inner flashing is evident from type details.
