SUCCESS STORIES
Indiasudar Student Baby.M completed her B.Sc chemistry with 75% -First Class. Now she got admission to pursue M.Sc Chemistry in Govt Arts college, Rasipuram, Namakkal Dt, Tamilnadu. Indiasudar members will guide and assist her to write GATE/CSIR/NET exam. Though her marks in plus two is less, we gave her support and motivation to do UG degree and now she proved herself. EVENTS AND ACTIVITIES Note Book Drive - 2011

DATE: 25th June, Saturday HIGHLIGHTS : India Sudar in association with Future India Trust, Aviratha Trust, Samsung Seva Team and RECT MCA Batch 98 planned and successfully conducted the Note Book Drive 2011, a project aimed at distributing notebooks to students in government schools in Karnataka. More than 8670 students from different schools in Chickballapur, Tumkur, Kolar, Chamarajanagara and Chitradurga districts in Karnataka have benefited from the project. Aviratha Trust distributed notebooks to schools in Chamarajanagara and Chitradurga districts. Future India Trust and Samsung Seva Team planned and distributed the books for schools in Kolar District along with Nagaraj G from India Sudar. Distribution of notebooks in schools in Chickballapur and Tumkur districts were carried out by India Sudar. Total cost of the project was over 5 lakhs Rupees, of which India Sudar contributed Rs. 2,11,900/-. The remaining sum was contributed by Future India Trust and Aviratha Trust. Career Guidance
DATE: 20th June, Monday

MEMBERS: Dinesh Kumar.G, Sakthivel.P, Pagutharivalan P, Dr.Ananth, Ramkumar.P, Balamanikandan.K HIGHLIGHTS: India Sudar conducted an event to motivate as well as give awareness about UPSC exams to students of Govt. Higher Secondary School (BOYS), Pughalur, Karur dt. 120 students doing their plus two attended the program. The program started with a 45 minute general interaction session followed by 45 minutes of individual guidance. Our member Mr.Ananth who cleared Indian Forest Service exam recently interacted with the students. Our thanks to school Headmaster and Mrs. Thilagavathy (Our member) who helped us make this event successful.

Career Guidance
DATE: 9th July, Saturday MEMBERS: M. Raja, Karthikeyan M

HIGHLIGHTS: India Sudar conducted Career Guidance program at Madurai in Sengunthur Uravinmurai High School and Vivekananda Higher Secondary School. Around 300 students attended the program. India Sudar member M.Raja took classes for the students. Article about this program was published in the Indian Express newspaper. Thanks to IS member Manikandan for coordinating with Indian Express to publish the article. Special Thanks Uma Rani (Hope Trust) and Narendran T for organizing the programs at two schools.

Notebook Distribution
DATE: 16th July, Saturday MEMBERS : Bala sarasuwathi and Sargunan

HIGHLIGHTS: India Sudar distributed notebooks to 42 students in Chennai. The event took place at Ambedkar Puratchi Nagar, Taramani, Chennai. Sify Associates Chennai sponsored funds for this event. PROJECT COST: Rs 5300 Our sincere thanks to Sify Associates.

Educational Materials to Pneuma Home Students

PROJECT COST: Professional Network for the Emancipation of the Under privileged Masses (Pneuma Trust) was founded in the year 2003 and registered as a Trust under India Public Trust Act 1882. The Trust is promoted with the overall aim of supporting children from underprivileged families from across Tamil Nadu mainly on the themes such as education, health, etc. India Sudar provided education materials for Penuma home students in Madurai. Last year also India Sudar supported these students.

School Visit
DATE: 11th July, Monday MEMBERS: Ram kumar P, Pagutharivalan P

India Sudar team visited Government High School, Ootathoor, Lalgudi, Trichirapalli (Dt), Tamil Nadu. The school has been achieving 100 per cent results for the past nine years despite facing many constraints. The Head Mistress takes umpteen care of the students by taking special classes and conducting model tests. India Sudar team talked to the headmistress and identified the requirements, which include setting up a library, providing CDs, DVDs and scientific models, deploying a computer teacher, and providing writing boards and sports materials.

Academic Assessment

India Sudar is supporting Manitham Trust, which runs a tuition centre and four women literacy centres in Dindigul. The results in 2010-11 academic year showed clear progress over last year, especially in women literacy.

Teacher Deployment

[ Tamil Nadu]

India Sudar extended one teacher deployment in Government Middle School at Ozhalure Village, Chengalpattu, Tamil Nadu for the academic year 2011-12. The scheme benefits 147 students studying in 1st to 4th standards. Our sincere thanks to Sify Associates for providing fund for the scheme.
