Location for construction power finalised in consultation with Contractor and TNEB officials. Drawings have been furnished to Chief electrical inspectorrate and awaiting the approval. As per the rules of TNEB the Contractor needs to bring the equipments to the site before actual commencement of power supply. Contractor has already placed orders on Transformer and other equipments. Power supply may be available by mid August 2011

Critical Issues : 1 Barak river On detailed survey Open cast foundation changed to Pile foundation. As an alternate, River Crossing (RC) towers at bank locations on opencast foundations with Truncated RC Tower shall be used. 2 Brahmputra river a) Pile Foundation - Construction of coffer dam to facilitate pile casting in the submerged area is in progress. 33 out of 36 nos. of piles cast and balance activities are in progress. b) Well Foundation - Well sinking started and reached up to 31 m depth. Further, concreting of the well and sinking is in progress. For Second well, fabrication of caisson upto 6.4m out of approximately 18m has been completed and balance caisson is in progress and sinking is schedule to start by October 2011. 3 Champabati river The piles already cast abandoned due to failure in integrity test. For fresh casting of piles, boring commenced. 8 out of 16 piles have been cast. 4 Forest Clearance i) Tripura - Second stage forest clearance for starting the work, obtained on 17.08.2010. ii) Assam and Meghalaya - For second stage forest clearance, MoEF has sought further clarifications vide their letter dtd 13.04.2011. NETC on 28.04.2011 requested MoP for intervention for early second stage MoEF clearance. Support Required : Nil

20-Sep 31-May Coal washery of 2.5 MTPA has been commissioned and around 9000 MT coal washed. 132 kv switchyard and Pooling station and further connection to CSEB is complete Reservoir filled , all supplies completed for M-BoP Erection work completed and no load trail runs completed As on date approx. 350 Cr exp.done out of total now envisaged cost of Rs 375 Cr (against earlier estimate of 360 crore). The cost has been increased mainly due to IDC and some misc works. 6 Road work, Drains, coal storage area and ash dyke works are almost complete. 7 9000 MT coal and 25 KL of LDO reached at site, around 20000 MT of coal being procured through e -auction and reaching at site shortly. 8 O&M team of 30 people from Tata Power is working at site.

MAJOR ACTIVITY/MILESTONE Q4 (2010-2011) 4.2 Modifications in Milling Section Brief Status : Civil & Mechanical Works are in Progress for all the Packages Critical Issues : EPC Contractor WIL is facing severe financial Crunch and payments to Sub-contractors is getting delayed frequently which is having cascading effect on sub-vendors resulting in to delayed work at Site and supply of material. ACTION PLAN: Matter has been taken up with WIL's top management. There has beenlittle improvement in progress at Site. Power Evacuation System: RoW Acquition issue due to stiff opposition of the Landowners Action Plan: Alternative plans are being worked out to expedite the progress WTP-WTP work suffered heavily due to commercial issues of Doshion with WIL.
