This seat structure is equipped exclusively with powered adjusters for all functions. For the application shown here, a special singlesided power recliner was developed with an integrated function for folding forward. The cushion extension is realized by a movement of the complete cushion pan over the cushion frame. The structure is designed for a high level of lateral rigidity. For optimal rear occupant foot space, the structure is designed to hang, i.e., be directly mountable on the doorsill.

This belt integrated seat structure has gone through numerous stages of development in many different vehicles. It features powered adjustment functions and can be folded forward manually. The height of the seat belt is also power adjustable.

This seat structure is distinguished by its compactness. It features powered and partially powered adjustment functions with a manual easy entry. Weight sensors are integrated into the lower seat structure. The slender back frame may also be used for more sporty applications.

This highstrength seat structure was developed for use in vehicles with high crash pulses. It features a stable tubular back frame which allows for various designs. The structure was created for a seating concept without side shields.

ReaR seaTINg sysTems

The comfortable and varied use of the inner space demands highly functional rear seating systems with multiple adjustment possibilities. The CRH rear seating system depicted here meets these demands. It features a 60/40 partition with load-through capacity and maximum 200 mm length adjustment. A folding table function is possible for all segments. The fold flat function is fully integrated. The cushion pan can be lowered in order to optimize the loading area.

The complete seat adjuster is a delivery unit that combines the variability of different vehicle platforms and the variety of adjustment options. The modular design allows for the introduction of multiple variants at minimal expense for additional parts. Designed for use on a complete vehicle platform, the seat adjuster depicted here is a lower seat structure with a choice of manual or powered adjustments. The manual height adjuster is operated by a pumping mechanism.

Its no different for car seats: the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. The seamless combination of all the individual parts into a functioning system is a critical point and an art form an art form that we at CRH have perfected over many years.

From the beginning to the end of its development of seat structure components, CRH ensures the serviceability of its construction. The use of highly developed and tested modules minimizes development time and maximizes reliability. The consistent implementation of technically uncompromised standards allows for the economic realization of further individual developments which make the wide use of models possible. The high quality of CRH products is due, among other things, to the fact that many components are manufactured with tools developed and built by CRH itself. In this way we can ensure that the individual parts function perfectly in subsequent total system solutions. This manufacturing know-how is fully integrated into our structural development. Our experience in systems integration enables us to assign specific uses to the components, regardless of whether they are produced by us or by selected suppliers. mORe saFeTy THROUgH INNOvaTIve TeCHNOlOgy

Spinal cord injuries, known more commonly as whiplash injury, are among the most common injuries in automobile accidents. By means of the new Nectec* head restraint unit, injury risk of this kind will be reduced in the future. The active head restraint is based on a simple, robust, and failsafe application concept. The Nectec module is comprised of a taut spring system which is activated in the event of a rear-end collision, with the head restraint coming into the correct position within fractions of a second. In a collision, the head restraint moves forward and prevents the typical, slam like recoil of the occupants head. In this way, the module can meet the requirements needed for the soon to be introduced sixth Euro NCAP crash test star. Moreover, the system can be reactivated for further deployment..

The head restraint also remains completely closed during crash activation. The mechanical integrity of the device is protected against damage or manipulation. Nor is there any risk of injury during reactivation. The small number of components deployed also makes it a very lightweight system.
