Systems Combined
SYSTEMS COMBINED
Combine all systems 1 and display the results in one single output map. This can be used to show, in one single map, the signal strength or maximum data rate available for large buildings where multiple sectors (with different systems) are used on the same floor plan. For signal strength and SNIR maps, it also allows taking into account the interference from adjacent systems (sectors, channels, etc.). Signal strength of the best serving system at any location
Feature available for signal strength with the Propagation module; for SNIR and max achievable data rate with the Optimization module.
PRIORITY ZONES
When defining an optimal antenna placement 2 (OAP) map, priority zones can be drawn to define coverage that differs from the project and layout defaults. For instance, reserve best coverage for executive offices and exclude areas where mobiles are less likely to be used (storage rooms, stairs, etc.). OAP map with high (lavender) and low (light green) priority zones
MAP IMPROVEMENTS
Best server: Define the minimum threshold for the signal strength required to consider an antenna as serving a particular region. Display on a single map, regions that are served by each antenna and those without coverage.
Signal strength: Display the composite power of all serving antennas or consider only the power of the best serving antenna. In Wi-Fi, for instance, the Wi-Fi device takes the signal from only one antenna; therefore, non-composite power is selected. Non-Composite power signal strength for WiFi
Broadband amplifiers and more New equipment in the months to come Media converters with flexible parameters
LTE TECHNOLOGY
Improved calculations for SNIR and max achievable data rate in the context of LTE 4 . New maps introduced to better evaluate the coverage and signal quality for LTE: LTE Reference Signal Received Power (RSRP) shows reference signal coverage. Reference signal is unique for each eNodeB sector. Therefore, all indoor antennas connected to the same eNodeB sector transmit identical reference signal, and power received from these antennas is summed in each pixel. LTE Reference Signal Received Quality (RSRQ) gives details about the quality of the signal. This map is a ratio of RSRP and RSSI measured over the whole bandwidth in one subframe. (RSSI is the total signal received from all sources.) LTE Overlapping Zones shows the number of eNodeB sectors in each pixel for which the following condition is satisfied: RSRP > (RSRP_threshold + RSRP_margin). LTE RSRP measures signal strength in the context of LTE
Reports
ENHANCED 3D VIEWER
Display 3D views with all of the components such as cables and parts, in addition to the antennas. Quickly validate that the building model is done correctly, and provide better visibility on equipment locations for the installation team and building owners. Additional filters can be selected to display only the details that you want to see.
CITRIX ENVIRONMENT
Citrix servers are supported. Leverage environments to reduce the costs for deploying and upgrading iBwave Design within your organization.
iBwave Help
iBWAVE HELP
Help is provided in the HTML format directly in iBwave Design. Unlike a static file, benefit from an intelligent search engine. Access this information through a structured table of contents, a complete index, and a full-text search feature.
64-BIT EDITION
iBwave Design is now fully supported in 64-bit native. Take advantage of the latest technology, and feel the performance improvement when working with large projects.

iBwave Unity Enterprise server: User information in the Project Properties is not correct when saving an existing project under a new name. Plans cannot be exported to an image or an AutoCAD file when the Hide extension for know file types check box (Windows File Explorer / Folder Options / View) is selected. Prediction details (such as images and gradient legends) are not included when saving a project to the iBwave Unity Enterprise server. Application closes when redrawing a 3D view from a non-layout plan. Calculations for Wideband components are not refreshed correctly. Equipment and installation costs from the Project Cost Details report are not included when saving a project to the iBwave Unity Enterprise server. When a component is linked to a via, the application closes when assigning this component to another layout plan. Selecting the Parts ID check box in the Data View Filter panel has no effect on the layout plans. When producing a Link Budget report with certain selections, the Index was out of range message is displayed. Application closes when pushing some component types to another layout plan. When using the Cable Replacement Automation feature, if a cable is replaced by a jumper, the length is set to the fixed jumper length. When certain components are added to the design plan, the application closes. The project company name is not included when saving to the iBwave Unity Enterprise server.

iBwave Unity Enterprise server: Order is not correct for layout and picture plan information. iBwave Unity Enterprise server: When saving using the Batch Upload option, the project name is empty. The iBwave Design file name should be used instead of leaving this mandatory field empty. Media converter connectors are missing when saving a project to the iBwave Unity Enterprise server. When exporting the project plans to images, if the file name contains a dot, only one plan is exported.

3D Viewer - Antenna and cables are not linked when not set at the same height. Application crashes when displaying a 3D view that includes network equipment. When the Transmit property for a media converter coverage unit is set to False and it is connected to an antenna, this component is not shown on the Link Budget report. [Unity server] Version not set correctly when using Batch Upload. Connectors are not adjusted on image when component has been rotated. 3D Viewer Error on exporting to image.
