IF CHILDREN BEHAVE BADLY, SHOULD THEIR PARENTS ACCEPT RESPONSIBILTY AND ALSO BE PUNISHED
Whatever they grow up to be, they are still our children, and the one most important of all the things we can give to them is unconditional love. Not a love that depends on anything at all except that they are our children.-Rosaleen Dickson Children begin by loving their parents; as they grow older they judge them; sometimes, they forgive them-Oscar Wilde quotes Parents who are afraid to put their foot down usually have children who step on their toesunknown Are children made by their parents? True biologically, but in terms of attitude and behavioral traits, it can go in different ways. You can have a child that takes after her father, mother, grannies or even siblings. Yes even siblings. These genes are a product of these parents mostly,

and they are responsible for the behaviors of the child that picked up their traits. Lucky for them if the child picked up the good traits, they can hold their hold their heads high up and say Yea, he took after me. But when he picks up a pretty ugly part of them, they are forced to do something about, and then it becomes their sole jobs to correct this misfortune as I call it. But what if the child refuses to change? What if it is too late? Should the parents take the blame? Even if they do, should they be punished? We would not delve into such punishment without discussing the types of negative behaviors that children display that require the attentions of their parents. If children behave badly only puts the situation on an ambiguous level whereby one is faced with two types of misbehaviors; it could be minor situations that do not warrant much sanctions other than say making an offending child lose recess or play privileges for a period of time are examples of minor punishment for minor situations, while extra chores or spanking are examples of punishment that follow if such behavior persists. In extreme cases whereby the behavior worsens and rises to the level of an offence outside the home, the attention of the parent could be called and then appropriate suggested below would be introduced. This also depends on how we understand this punishment. Of course we cannot resort to corporal punishment on both parent and child for the childs behavior, because even if we did that to the child, it doesnt sound well to do the same to the parent. So that strikes out the corporal punishment definition of punishment. That from my knowledge of the definition of punishment leaves us with fines and custodial sentences such as prisons. But does it really make sense to blame parents for their childrens actions? Of course they are somehow responsible because they brought them up. But the parents are not the ones behaving badly, it is the child. So why should it be the parent that gets punished for the childs deeds? Even if they take responsibility for their kids actions, he should be the one to be punished for his own actions. I also know that there is a psychological definition for punishment- wherein one does something hurtful (especially in feelings) to another person without even touching him/her as a way to get back at that person is a punishment. That alone justifies that rational and caring parents are hurt or punished when their child behaves badly, so the idea of punishing them based on some principle that they have accepted responsibility is just unreasonable. Irrational and indifferent parents however, are really not concerned about their childrens behaviors and so do not really care what they do most times and such do not take responsibility for their kids except on occasions where they are sober. Those are such people that should be sanctioned or punished. A perfect example is having a parent pay a fine or serving a prison term for child neglect whenever his/her defaults a great deal. And of course an uncaring wealthy parent might just pay off the fine and not discuss the issue again with the child, but if such sanctioned is placed on a parent struggling to make ends meet, he/she would be forced to make amends by correcting the child. That leaves us the wealthy parent who has still not learned anything and is still not making efforts to reform his/her child. Then the ultimate and appropriate punishment for such parent would be taking the child away from him/her and placing the child in some reform center or a juvenile home depending on the level of the childs offence. With these, it is fair to say that the idea of having parents take responsibility and being punished for their childrens bad actions would not be addressed ideally by viewing it on a one sided basis because several other factors like peer pressure lead to the up rise of child behaviors other the contribution of the parents. What should a government do for a country to become successful?

Currently, there is only one super country in the world. However, many others also have great examples of successful systems. Some main trends can be noticed by searching for the environment which would be beneficial for the huge part of society. To begin with, it is crucial to evaluate the importance of education, since intelligent people with knowledge and understanding are the basic of a successful country. That is why every government's priority should be to invest into youth. Furthermore, modern technologies and scientific research are worth exceptional attention, because without an appropriate approach to the future no country can sustain its stability. In addition, citizens should be encouraged to have their own business. Enterprise is a characteristic of man which many countries do not properly appreciate. Those, who create a work place not only for themselves, but also for others surely is a vital part of economy. Consequently, a high percentage of business people in most ways leads to the better quality of life in a country. In fact, laws and fees are the main factors which contribute in making decision to start your own company. Therefore, a government has everything in its arms. In conclusion, the success of a country depends on various conditions. Nevertheless, it is essential to have a strategy and to plan the development of a country for few decades in advance. A government should not only deal with present problems, but also to make necessary decisions to prevent future difficulties. Should sports classes be sacrificed in High School so students can concentrate on academic subjects? Nowadays, education process is more expanded and easier than before, especially, in many schools that their education depends on progressive books, and professionals teachers who perform their dutie in the best and modern ways. Thus, students find appropriate environment to acquire knowledges and informatios, and perform others activities at the same time. We all know that, high school phase is the most significant period in the students lives, for several reasons, firstly, there are people who believe that, in this phase they need scors that allow them to attend the university. Therefore, they must focus on their subjects, and they put all their efforts on them, and give up all the others activities like playing football and swimming. Secondly, in high school phase, students become teenagers. Undoubtedly, teenagers period is the most dangerous period in people's life, because, in this phase, student moves on from childhood into adulthood, and change his or her genes. Thus, he behaves as a adult man, and commit many mistakes, such as, smoking and dating girls, fighting with his colleagues, because he wonts to confirm his manhood, as a result of all these behaviors he loses his focus on his education. Moreover, damage his scors, and perhaps he loses his future. But also, we admit, there are students who can perform their school works, and other activities, there are many factors which make them successful, and achieved their education goals. For instance, some parents raised their children on depending on themselves and do any thing on their own responsobility, but without they commit any mistakes. Thus, they created valid generation who accepts the academic life and

themselves.

To sum up, as I mentioned above, parents play an important role to shape their children's life, and make a successful generation who full of love and life, and learning love. If there is time and intelligents students, why not? we can study and play sport, in this way, we kill two birds by one stone, gain knowldges and keep our bodies fit.
