Pemerintah Indonesia melalui PANDI (Pengelola Nama Domain Indonesia) barubaru ini mengumumkan perusahaan yang berbasis di Tokyo, GMO Registry melalui mitra lokalnya PT Telematika Mitrakreasi untuk menangani layanan domain .id. GMO Registry mengklaim memiliki pengalaman internasional lebih dari 10 tahun dalam memberikan layanan domain standar serta menyediakan sistem registry yang stabil, aman dan scalable untuk domain Indonesia .id. PT Telematika Mitrakreasi ternyata merupakan perusahaan joint-venture antara GMO Registry dan Corfina Capital Groups. Bagi mereka yang tidak mengenal Corfina, mereka adalah perusahaan di balik MicroAd yang baru saja diluncurkan dan juga Batavia Incubator. Keduanya, baik MicroAd dan Batavia Incubator bermitra dengan perusahaan Jepang, ternyata mereka memiliki niat yang kuat untuk membawa perusahaan-perusahaan teknologi Jepang ke Indonesia.
