1. Define Human Resource Management with its objectives and roles.


Definition of Human Resource Management:

Human Resource Management can be defined as managing the functions of employing, developing and compensating human resources resulting in the creation and development of human resources with a view to contribute to the organization. Human Resource Management is a function of managing the people in an organization is a structured and tharo manner. It covers the field of recruitment, retention, pay and perks settings management, performance management. Human Resource Management also defined as procuring, developing and maintain component work force to achieve the organizational goals in affective and efficient manner. Human Resource Management helps in bringing people and organization together, so that the goals of each are mat.

Objectives of Human Resource Management:


To help the organization to reach its goals. To ensure efficient utilization and maximum development of human resources. To ensure respect for human beings. To identify and satisfy the needs of an individuals. To balance an individuals goals and organizational goals. To provide the organization well-trained and well-motivated employees. To develop and maintain a quality of work life. To be ethically and socially responsive to the needs of society. To enhance employees capabilities to perform the present job. To include the sense of team spirit, team work and inter team collaboration.

Roles of Human Resource Management: (1) Planning and Organizing Strategic and prospective view It is the process of reshaping the organizational structure and role. Change management Corporate wellness management (2) People accusation and Development Staffing the organization

Training and development (T&D) is the filed which is mainly concerned with organizational activities aimed at battering the performance of an individual or group. HR manager develop T&D strategies according to the requirement of organization, team or an individual with the motive of improving the productivity and outputs. HR manger evaluates T&D with regard to the return on investment. Career Management is a combination of structured planning and management of career. HR manager designs and implement career programmers aimed at participating an individuals or organizational needs. Industrial Relations are used to denote collective relationship between management and workers. It covers the areas of industrial life. Such as trade unionism, collective bargaining, workers participation in management, industrial dispute, labor law and code of conduct.

(3) Administrative policies, programmes and practices: Compensation management is a payment or salary in return for contribution in the organization. Administrative management is about managing information through people in organization. Financial management manages the budget for management functions such as T&D, compensation etc. It also negotiates maximum funds for HR manager.
