The Circle of Security Program is designed to strengthen parents ability to observe and improve their care giving capacity. Attachment theory, through the Circle of Security, offers clear, individualised pathways for providing a secure relationship between parent and child. Decades of university-based research have confirmed that secure children exhibit increased empathy, greater self esteem, better relationships with parents and peers, enhanced school readiness, and an increased capacity to handle emotions more effectively when compared with children who are not secure.
COMMUNITY CONSULTATION
COMMUNITY CONSULTATION
Stroke is a major cause of mortality and disability in Australia. The Neurosciences and the Senses Health Network, which was established as part of the WA Health Reform in 2004, developed a Model of Stroke Care for WA in 2006. This Model is being updated to ensure that it continues to reflect current evidence for best practice, changes in the WA health care environment and is responsive to the principles of health reform identified by WA Health. The Model of Stroke Care for WA 2012 Consultation Document has been developed and WA Health is seeking feedback from interested individuals and organisations, within the health care sector, non-government sector, local, state and Commonwealth governments and most importantly, consumers of health care services and carers. Feedback is requested by 10 November 2011 using an online or the attached feedback form. The online feedback form can be accessed at the following link:
https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/MOSCforWA2012ConsultationDocStakeholderFeedback
Otherwise, the feedback form is attached and written submissions will be accepted. Your feedback is valuable and will be used to complete the final Model of Stroke Care for WA 2012.
