Guide to Microwave project Installation Materials Survey V1.3 2.1.4. Contact Ways
The cover of the survey report includes such related information as the customer name (or regional offices), telephone number, fax, and contact person, which must be filled in the electronic survey report returned to Huawei.
2.2.1.
Sites Name
The site name in the survey report must be the same as that in the quotation. If the actual site name is different from that in the quotation, clearly write the site name in the quotation just after the actual site name. For example, the actual site name is "SITE A" and the site name in the quotation is "SITE X". When filling in the survey report, write "SITE A (SITE X)" at every place where the name of the site is mentioned. 2.2.2. Equipment Type
The information of the RTN 600 must be clearly stated, including the specification (SDH/PDH) and capacity. The RTN 600 is available in two types, RTN 610 and RTN 620.

2.3.1.
Site information
1, Hop Name or Description Hop Name or Description, 1 hop includes 2 sites. Please write down the hop name or description, if you survey by hop.1 hop includes 2 sites. 2, Site name The detailed location of a site must be provided, including the street name, building name, and building number. If possible, the site number should be provided, like 404H and 418L. In this way, one can clearly know the quantity of microwave equipment sets that use the site and know whether the site is a primary site or a nonprimary site. 2.3.2. Installation materials
The following is a sketch map of a Equipment room. The manufacturing and delivery information needs the data on the indoor conditions of a microwave site. Hence, the survey engineer must carefully conduct the survey and record the results according to the facts.

1)
IDU installation mode An IDU can be installed on a desk, on the wall, in a 19-inch rack, or in an ETSI cabinet. Select an installation mode according to the situation in the equipment room of the site.

installed on a desk 2) Height of the new rack/cabinet (mm) If new cabinets/racks are to be added, specify this item. Otherwise, skip this item.

3)
Floor height (mm) If new cabinets/racks are to be added, specify this item. Otherwise, skip this item. The purpose is to check if the antistatic floor is installed in the equipment room. If not, Huawei will not ship the support unless the customer requires it. If yes, fill the height of the antistatic floor from the cement floor to the upper surface of the antistatic floor in the survey report. The survey engineer is required to use a steel rule to measure the height at the place where the rack will be installed in person. Check if there are cables, holes or other obstacles at the place where the rack will be installed. If yes, report them to the customer and coordinate with the customer to solve the problems for the convenience of equipment installation. The height of the antistatic floor refers to the vertical distance between the cement floor and the upper surface of the antistatic floor.

2.3.3. 1)
Estimate the length of the IF cable in the equipment room (with a slack of 5%) and check if the total length of the IF cable (indoors and outdoors) is not longer than 300 meters. In the OptiX RTN 600, the IF cable can only be a maximum of 300 meters. When the total length of the IF cable does not exceed 300 meters, check the route of the IF cable in the equipment room. In addition, check if all turns of the IF cable meet the required bending radius. If not, re-design the route of the IF cable in the equipment room. 2) Resistance of 2 Mbit/s trunk cable
Check whether the impedance of the 2 Mbit/s trunk cable that already exists in the equipment room is 75 ohm or 120 ohm. Depending on the survey result, decide the impedance of the 2 Mbit/s trunk cable to be used in the OptiX RTN 600. The impedance of the 2 Mbit/s trunk cable may be 75 ohm or 120 ohm. Which impedance will be used is decided by the survey result. 3) 2M trunk cable length (m)
After the IDU installation position is determined, estimate the length of the 2M trunk cable when it is connected to the corresponding port.
2.3.4.
1)
Follow the steps below to check the power type: a) Check if the base station uses the mains supply. If not, make a detailed record. b) Check the voltage of the AC power in the equipment room. If the voltage is not 220 V (Huawei product uses the 220 V AC), make a record. c) Check if the number of the unused output terminals on the AC distribution cabinet meets the requirement of this project. d) Check the input and output voltages of the DC power supply in the equipment room. If the output DC voltage is not between -48 V and -72 V, deliver the DC power

supply that can be used in the OptiX RTN 600 (the normal working voltage of the OptiX RTN 600 is between -48 V and -72 V) when delivering the equipment. e) If the output DC voltage meets the power requirement of the OptiX RTN 600, check if the number of the unused output terminals on the DC distribution cabinet meets the requirement of this project. f) Check if the available power capacity in the equipment room meets the requirement of future equipment upgrades. The power type may be -48/-60 V DC, +24 V DC, 110/220 V AC, or others. If you fill "others", provide the exact power type. 2) Power cable length
After the IDU installation position is determined, estimate the length of the power cable when it is connected to the connection box. 3) Grounding cable length (m)
After the IDU installation position is determined, estimate the length of the grounding cable between the IDU and the reasonable and effective grounding point.
2.3.5. 1)
Select "yes" or "no" according to the actual configuration situation. 2) UPM installation mode
An UPM can be installed on a desk, on the wall, in a 19-inch rack, or in an ETSI cabinet. Select an installation mode according to the situation in the equipment room of the site. 3) AC Power cable length
Fill the AC power cable length of UPM from UPM to AC power supply.
2.3.6.
1) Peer-end connector type of the Patch cords Select the Peer-end connector type according to the actual configuration situation, the type of LC/PC is defaulted. 2) Patch cords length (m) Delivery according to the quotation length (10m), please fill the actual length if you have special request.
