Row 1: 1 hdc in 3rd ch from hook,
1 hdc in next 6 sts, 3 hdc in next st (corner made),
1 hdc in next 6 sts, 3 hdc in next st (corner made),
1 hdc in next 12 sts,3 hdc in next st (corner made).
1 hdc in next 6 sts, 3 hdc in next st (corner made).
1 hdc in remaining sts to end.

Row 2-5; ch 2, turn. 1 hdc in each st around, putting 3 hdc in center of

each corner.

Row 6; ch 2, turn. 1 hdc in ea across to 1st corner, sk sts between 1st

corner and 2nd corner, ch 10, hdc into center st of 2nd corner, and then
hdc in each st across to 3rd corner, ch 10, hdc into center sts of 4th

Row 7: attach Lavender; ch 1, * decrease next 3 hdc sts together, ch 2,

Row 8: attach Mint; (this will make the leaves of the lowers)
ch 2, turn. 1 hdc decrease around each flower.

this is how its done:

* yo, insert hook into 1st sp, yo, insert hook into next sp on other side
of flower, yo, draw thru 2 loops, yo, draw thru all loops on hook. ch 2,
and repeat from * across.
ending with 1 hdc in last st. end off mint.
Row 9: attach white; ch 2 turn. 1 hdc in each st across. end with hdc in
2nd ch of the turning ch.

Row 10: ch 3, turn. 1 hdc in ea st across. sl st to join to other side.

Pattern Rounds:
The skirt is worked in rounds right after it is joined
on row 10. So rnd 11 will turn (only this row). When
repeating 12-28; be sure to put a V-st in center of V-st
and a shell in center of shell for pattern ....always starting
with a half shell and ending with 2 dc in beginning half shell.

Rounds 11-28: ch 3, turn, (will now be working in rounds). for the Skirt;
2 hdc in same sp as ch, * sk 1 st, V-st in next st, sk 1 st, 5 dc in next
st, ... repeat from * around. sl st to join.

~~ a V-st is: 1 dc-ch1-1dc all in same st.~~

Round 29: ch 2, 1 hdc in ea st around. join.

Round 30: attach Lavender; ....repeat Round 7. (43 flowers).
Round 31: attach Mint; .. repeat Round 8.
Round 32: attach white; ch 2, 1 hdc in ea st around. join.
Round 33: ch 1, sc in same sp, * sk 2 sts, 6 dc in next st, sk 2 sts, 1 sc in
next st, ...repeat from * around. ending with a sc in last st.
sl st to beg ch to join.

Round 34: ch 1, sc in ea st around. join. end off. weave in all ends.

SLEEVES:
with white - attach yarn under arm in center.
Round 1-4: ch 2, 2 dc in same sp (½ shell)- * sk 2 sts, V-st in next st,
... repeat from * around. join.
Round 5: ch 2, *1 hdc decrease next 2 sts together.....around. join.
Round 6: *ch 3, sc in next st. ... repeat from * around . join. (Ruffle made).
end off. repeat for 2nd sleeve.

Back Opening; to trim.....

attach white in center of back opening, ch 1, sc same sp, working up left
side - sc in ea st to top , put 3 sc in corner, sc around neckline, 3 sc in
corner of right side, working down right side- sc in 1st st, ch 2, sc in
next st (1st button hole ) sc in next 4 sts, ch 2, (2nd button hole) sc in
next st,sc in remaining sts and end off. weave in ends.

sew buttons onto back.

Rnd 1: ch 3, 15 dc into the ring. sl st to join.
Rnd 2: ch 3, 1 dc in same sp, * 2 dc in each st around. repeat from *
around. sl st to join.
Rnd 3: ch 3, 1 dc in same sp, * 1 dc in each of next 2 sts, 2 dc in next st,
repeat from * around. sl st to join.
Rnd 4: ch 3, 1 dc in same sp, * 1 dc in each of next 4 sts, 2 dc in next st,
repeat from * around. sl st to join.
Rnd 5 - 11 : ch 3, 1 dc in each st around, sl st to join.
Rnd 12: ch 3, 1 dc front post worked around each st ..around...sl st to
join.

Rnd 13: ch 2 , turn. and fold back... (this will become the brim) 1 hdc in

For Ruffle:
