PR-II-A-I: AUGUST 2004

NOTE:

1. Question numbers 1 and 2 are compulsory for all candidates.


2. Candidates shall have an option to attempt any one Question from out of
Questions 3, 4 and 5, but the candidates must attempt the question in the language
opted for Theory Examination.
3. Whenever values/data have not been given in the question papers, the examiner
has to assume the data.

SET-I (Batch –1)

Q1. Write a C Program to implement selection sort. Simulate these programs to


sort 50 numbers. [30]

Q2. Write a Shell Script to

1. List all users listed in a file called /etc/password.


2. For everyone currently logged in, print which port and at what time
they have logged. [20]

Q3. Create a class called data which contains two integer numbers. Add Functions
for addition, subtraction, multiplication & division of these numbers using C++.
[30]

OR

Q4. Write a Java program that reads a line of input text and breaks it up into
words. Any characters in the input text that are not letters should be discarded and
output one word in each line. A word being a sequence of letters. [30]

Q5. Create a multimedia story using any software using 8 slides containing GIF
files. Incorporate a sound track at the back of this multimedia. [30]

the frames to crate an animated GIF. Now also incorporate a sound track behind
