High-Definition Plasma TV Service Mode

for Color Calibration


SERVICE MODE
This section identifies potential service modes used for service along with their function and purpose. This section also
identifies error detection LEDs and error codes.

Service Mode OSD Menu


Entering the OSD Menu
To enter the Factory OSD menu:
1 Turn the TV on.
2 Press the Menu button, and select User OSD Menu.
3 Select Audio, Settings, and then Balance.
4 Use the numeric keypad on the remote control to enter 9-1-8-OK in sequence.
The Factory OSD should be displayed.

NOTE: If necessary, re-enter the number keys, and then press OK on the remote control.

Exiting the OSD Menu


To exit from the Factory OSD menu, use the numeric keypad on the remote control, and enter 9-1-8-9.

NOTE: If the character “M” appears on the screen, press the Menu button first.

Factory Data
White Balance
If a bad image is related to an incorrect white balance setting, manually adjust the items RCut, RDrv, Grut, GDrv,
BCut, BDrv (marked in purple) in the following table.

Video Setting
Each source has a separate video setting. The sources are: Video, DTV, VGA, YPbPr, and HDMI. Each can be
adjusted in factory OSD Menu. These items cannot be adjusted UNLESS the TV is turned to
corresponding source first. Otherwise you may introduce mistakes to software. In case this mistake happens,
software updating is needed. Other Video Settings marked in purple in following table have fixed data reset in factory.
These settings are not changeable.

NOTE: Max means the 100 level, Mid means the 50 level, and Min means the 0 level and each level corresponds to
the user menu item. STD means the standard level, Movie means the Movie level, and Vivid means the Vivid level of
setting source.

To enter the Video Source video setting, change Source to TV(NTSC)/CVBS1/S-VIDEO/CVBS2/S-VIDEO2, and then
enter Service OSD.

OSD, and adjust the setting if needed.
