    Hardware Requirements and Settings


    2 PC-based computers for radioserver and dispatcher console. It is possible to install both radioserver and dispatcher software on the single PC for demonstration purposes. In this case, there must be 2 sound cards installed on the PC. MotoTRBO Base Radio (Mobile Radio) Connection cable (to connect base radio and radioserver) Subscriber MotoTRBO Radios

    SmartPTT Radioserver Installation


    Radioserver software must be installed under account having administrative privileges. Radioserver software is installed from SmartPTT Radioserver setup package. Results of Radioserver installation: Windows service named SmartPTT Radio Service must present on the system and be running New menu item should appear at programs menu Start / Programs / SmartPTT / Radioserver Configurator (Radioserver configuration utility) Note! SmartPTT Radioserver is functional only at 32-bit operating systems: Windows XP/SP3, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 2003 Server.

    SmartPTT Dispatcher Installation


    Dispatcher software must be installed under account having administrative privileges. Dispatcher software is installed from SmartPTT dispatcher setup package. SmartPTT dispatcher application requires MS SQL Server to store the database. If MS SQL Server is not present in intranet or is not available for SmartPTT database, MS SQL Express must be chosen during SmartPTT dispatcher installation.

    On the first SmartPTT Dispatcher launch Configuration Wizard requires to set database connection options and load license file. All other settings may be specified later. Note! When database connection options are specified for the first time, it is necessary to create new database. SmartPTT Dispatcher Console is functional only at 32-bit operating systems: Windows XP/SP3, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 2003 Server.

    SmartPTT features
    SmartPTT dispatcher application has functionality to add subscriber records manually, but more preferable way is automatic subscriber registration. If base and subscriber radios are tuned properly subscriber tree will be filled automatically in a few minutes. Note! When Radioserver and Dispatcher Consoles are installed on different PCs and Windows or some another Firewall is enabled, it is required to add exceptions for ports used by SmartPTT. Default SmartPTT port settings are: TCP 8888, UDP - 4005, 4007, 4008, 8888, 18500, 18501. Important!
