of options to store files, documents and projects with various security and sharing features.
While SourceSafe gives us access to the projects and files, the VSS admin gives us option not
only to impose restriction on specified users but allows us to take and restore archives of
various projects stored in VSS.

Project Title : Claims Processing System using OCR Development (Double Pass
Workflow)

Profile:

Claims Processing System is fully scalable, workflow based web application. Workflow is set of
processes which will run in a sequential order. Set of claims are clubbed into a Batch and
processed via the workflow to get the data from the claims. Each claim can be processed
through each process only once. Initially, each claim is processed in an OCR Engine which is
provided by Neurascript, a third party tool. Templates are designed and configured for
capturing data from the claims. A batch can be processed in a process only if it completes its
preceding processes in the workflow.

The processes are classified into Electronic Inventory, Transfer, In-House Upload,
Document Classification, OCRPreProcess, Recognition, OCRPostProcess, Claim Correction,
Claim Key, Claim Compare, Post Correction, Completion1, Completion2, Audit Key, Audit
Compare, Audit Review, Export, Post-Split, IHOutput, and Ship Build. Each Process is used to
capture data, validate data and ensures that the correct data is captured. The data captured
at each process is written in xml files and finally the data in the xml file is converted into
customer specific format and transferred to the customer.

Roles and Responsibilities: Software Consultant

• Involved in Analysis of Claims and identifying a pattern for designing the
Templates.
• Designing Recognition Templates for OCR Engine using Third Party Software.
• Designing and Development of Recognition Filter module for handling OCR data
and performing validations on data for presenting them to the next process
Correction.
• Used Form and Role based Authentication as a .NET Security.
• Development of a module which will separate the claims coming to the US Ftp
server.
• Developed business layer components using C#.
• Development of ClaimCompare process which is used to compare the output files
of Claim Correction and Claim Key process. The Claim Compare compares the
data of both the process and will push to next queue if no mismatches found else
will push to Claim Correction and Claim Key until there is no mismatches.
• XML was used as configuration profile for each process in the workflow.
• Developed the Business Logic layer as per the requirement.

Profile:
Loan Originating System – The primary intention of the product is to automate the Mortgage
Company. This product contains several modules. The Product mainly contains two Modules.
1. LOS (Loan Originating System)
2. LX (Lending X Change)
In LOS a Loan Transaction Number will be created through Call Center for the Loan to be
processed. Once the Loan Transaction Number is created then we logon to LOS to close and
Fund the Loan. There are several stages that must be satisfied to close and fund a loan. For
Example the Subject Property Information, Borrower Information and Credit Run of the
Borrower are necessary for the transaction of the loan and also involved in all the modules
mentioned below.

Property: This is one of the 125 modules in Loan Originating System. The Objective of this
module is to handle all the properties of primary borrower, co-borrower &other borrowers.
There are mainly 3 types of properties are handled here, Subject property, Real estate
property & Rental property. Subject property is the property in which borrower is going to take
loan. Real estate property is the other properties of the borrower. Rental property is the rental
property of the borrower. One of the advantages of this module is separate handling of
property information and property financial information and we can attach the property to the
corresponding liability. This module is highly integrated with Borrower, Liability, and Loan
Workspace.

• Involved in the development of design artifacts such as class, activity,
State, and sequence diagrams.

Powerway.com is designed for Mercedes Benz and GM Motors to accelerate product delivery
reduce risks and costs and improve quality by connecting people, processes, documents and
data within the enterprise and throughout the supply chain. This website is used to connect
manufacturers — both internally and within supply networks — to critical information about
products and processes, enabling visibility and communication from concept and design
through engineering, sourcing, and manufacturing.
This application developed using C#, VB.NET, ASP.NET and MS SQL Server
2000.incorporates their client needs and enhances the features provided by version 2 to
better manage their suppliers and the production process with less paper-work.
With a large database of suppliers of various parts managed by Power way, the automakers
can browse the database to find out who can meet their requirement exactly and create
trading relationships with that supplier. Suppliers on the other hand can respond to the client
needs and expands the use of this software by managing their own supplier and creating a
network of companies to do business. Each company (called PDO here) can manage their
tasks, meeting discussions, questions, documents calendar, issues, e-mail alerts and so forth
using powerway.com. Two parties can agree upon the responsibilities of either end and certain
progress of the process and update the status at their respective ends so the other can also
respond.

based application developed in completely VS.net environment and MS SQL Server 2000 was
used as database for this application.

control maintenance, Item requisitions, Inventory maintenance, Material swapping between
