Action Plan by ETAC A Middle Branch, North Nazimabad Regular Podcast Schedule for the first term 2011

Plan for September 2011-2012: * ETAC-As will get the approval (to have Pod casts as an event in the activity calendar) from the Heads for the time tables. * ETAC-As will initiate platforms for the teachers and for the students and assure their participation with follow ups. * Motivate teachers for making Podcast. * Sharing the lesson plans, activities conducted last year and training teachers for software. (Audacity) * Share different Podcasts using the Internet. * Utilising Fridays to facilitate, explore and share ideas with teachers in small groups. * Suggestions to teachers for utilizing a substitution period for making podcast.

Different clubs for students:

Main clubs: 1. Literary Club 2. Technology Club 3. Drama Club 4. Publishing Club Other clubs: 5. Research team 6. Physical activities 7. Environmental club 8. Event casing club

Objective: Improve speaking skills - speak correctly, with expression & intonation.

Structure of the podcast

1) Literary Club, English/Urdu/ Islamiat 2) Technology Club English, Maths, Science, IT 3) Drama Club History, Geography, English, Urdu

Literary Club
The Literary Club could publish a CD - The "Story tellers of Beaconhouse", "News Reporters of Beaconhouse" or "Creative writers of Beaconhouse" for which children whose story, news report or creative writing is selected will record themselves or get them voiced over reading it for the CD. The children will be required to practise reading just as they prepare themselves for an elocution contest.

Technology Club
The Drama Club could use Role Play as a regular feature for developing speaking skills. The role-play can be related to History, Geography, study of novel or play script. Students would need to practise speaking their roles with intonation and expression.

Drama Club
The Technology Club will publish a regular Audio Podcast like a Radio Station. These can be News Reports, reports of real live happenings at school or about school events.

Publishing Club
Discussion on a blog-post by students commenting on a poem or a story they are studying. Publishing up coming events on the net through Blogs.
