Short Answer Survey Please take a few minutes to discuss your perceptions of school counselors daily function to help

me answer my research question: What do administrators believe about the daily roles and responsibilities of school counselors? Please respond in as much detail as you wish to provide. 1. Please rank order from 1-4 (1 being the lowest and 4 being the highest) and explain your answer: Of the 4 components of the Texas Guidance model, which is the most important and which is the least important? -individual planning (the purpose of the individual planning system is to guide all students as they plan, monitor, and manage their own educational, career, and personalsocial development.) -responsive services (the purpose of the responsive services component is to intervene on behalf of those students whose immediate personal concerns or problems put their continued personal-social, career, and/or educational development at risk.) - student support services (Whereas the three components previously described serve students directly, the system support component describes services and management activities which indirectly benefit students.) - guidance curriculum (the purpose of the guidance curriculum component is to help all students develop basic life skills.) 2. Why did you place rank number 4 at that value? 3. Why did you place rank number 1 at that value? 4. If you could restructure your counselor's activities, how would that look? 5. If your district did away with counselors, what would you miss the most of the daily functions that they performed? 6. What trait do you consider to be the most important in a school counselor?
