Steps / Time Orientation (5 minutes)

Content Giving a situation to the pupils to explore

Teaching & Learning Activities 1. Pupils are asked to sit in their respective places. 2. Two pupils are selected, a boy and a girl. The pupils are the largest in class. 3. The teacher can also be the sample to replace the pupils. 4. The pupils are then asked to come in front to test to move the pupils. 5. Teacher will then related what they have done to the topic that is going to be taught. 6. The pupils are then introduced to the topic. 1. Pupils are asked to sit back to their places. 2. Pupils are shown a video on the uses of energy in everyday life. 3. Pupils are asked to give their opinion on what are the importances based on the video. 4. Teacher writes the answer on the board. 5. Pupils are then shown the answer done by the teacher. 1. Pupils are shown an Energy Story. 2. Teacher then selected a few pupils to read the story out loud. 3. Pupils are then asked question based on the story. 4. The question is based on where and when energy is used. 5. Pupils try to give their answer and then teacher shows the correct answer.

Teaching & Learning Activities 1. Each pupil is divided into groups according to their sitting places. 2. Pupils will then be given two jigsaw puzzles containing the sources of energy. 3. Teacher will paste a blank mind map on the whiteboard. 4. Each branch contains a clue on the sources of energy. 5. Pupils will try to match the clue with the correct picture and description. 6. Teacher will then correct the mind map and then explain to the pupils what are the sources of energy using the mind map. 1. Teacher shows the pupils the full mind map on what they have learnt today. 2. Pupils are asked to give their opinion. 3. Teacher summarizes the lesson and then ends the class. 4. Pupils are given worksheets as their homework.
