Just Around The Corner...

Sunday School Happenings
The College & Career Sunday School Class will be traveling across the Pacific Ocean to Japan this Sunday morning and they didnt even have to purchase plane tickets! Through the ingenious Skype technology, our C & C Sunday School will join classes with the Syme Sunday School in the city of Karuizawa in Nagno, Japan. They will learn from Gods Word and worship together as one. This is an exciting way to learn about another culture and to be a part of missionary work in action. This is all possible through WLBCs prayer relationship with the Knight family, missionaries to Japan. The College and Career Class does not plan for this to be the first and last time as a joint class and look forward to possibly Skyping with other classes from other parts of the world. With very little know how, any of us could be the next to go around the world, without leaving our Sunday School room. This is an exciting time in the Lords work and at WLBC. Somethings Old Somethings New Deacon of the Week +

is November 6, 2011.
I am your church envelope... I would like to talk with you, for I am part of your church life. I may be a complete stranger to you, but I can help you be a better Christian. I like to go to worship on Sunday, for I help you to be Christs partner. I am very small, but I am the keystone of your church program. I am a weekly reminder of your daily blessings. I dare you to be as good to God as he has been to you. I am only paper, but I carry the full gift of a generous heart. I am the only pocketbook you need on Sunday, and I promise not to be a burden. I am your chance to preach, for I am a silent sermon of your devotion.

Thank You
West Lynchburg Baptist Church, Thanks to all of you for your calls, cards and prayers during Normans illness. Every call was appreciated, every card read, and every prayer felt. May God bless every one of you for your sincere thoughtfulness. Nancy New and Norma Linas Dear WLBC Family, Thanks to all of you who could join me for my 75th birthday celebration. I feel like each of you are my family and it was such a blessing to be surrounded with so much love. Love, Patsy Leftwich Dear Church Family, It is hard for me to express just how important your support has meant to me since my fathers passing. But I can say that it helped me get through the fog that this unexpected event put me in. Thank you for always being there for me and my family. Sincerely, Dan & Beth Schmucker

JERICHO TOY DRIVE Children are beginning to have visions of what will be under the Christmas tree, but unfortunately for some, this dream may not be a reality. Jericho Outreach serves under-privileged families by providing toys and clothing to children (Ages 1-16) during our Annual Toy Drive. They are asking for our help. The Collection Toy Barrel will be located in the preschool wing beginning November 8th. Please plan to donate something as part of your Christmas celebration with Christ.

Deacon of the Week: Ed Moldenke 434.525.6423

Many times we are asked, Who is my deacon? To help you, we will list the Deacon of the Week and his list of families in the WLBC Bulletin ENewsletter. There will be a complete list posted on the bulletin board near the church office. This complete list is alphabetical by your last name. We hope this will help you know who your deacon is for the year. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the church office.

A) Unless someone told them about God, they wouldnt have a clue? B) Anyone observing nature (the creation) could easily see evidence there was a God. C) God cannot be known except through Jesus.
