International Business
Exports: There was a drop in exports due to global economic scenario of 2009. On the other hand, estimates growth in 2010. Most exports are made up of mineral fuels, followed by aluminum and fertilizers. Among the main export destinations are : UAE, United States, Japan, Chinese Taipei and Qatar. The biggest consumers of energy stemmed from this sector are the petrochemical and aluminum industries. Communication and transport: The country acts as a strong hub in the Gulf region and has an excellent infrastructure for transport. The King Fahd Causeway is a bridge built in 1986 and cost U.S. $ 600 million. The local ports are well equipped to accommodate all types of boats.
