INTRODUCTION
A lack of emphasis on vehicle security results in the theft worth millions of automobiles every year. The reality is, there
is little we can do to stop car thieves from attempting to steal our cars and trucks. Once bypassed, these devices leave
the car owner helpless.
Every year nearly 36,000 vehicles worth Rs.115 crore are stolen in India. Only about 15,000 are traced, often in
unroadworthy condition, with many components missing. These vehicles are stolen because the thief is given the
opportunity. Two thirds of all thefts occur at night. Prime targets are late model cars, or sporty models and high-powered
models.
The most common items stolen from cars are:

Requirement of Vehicle Security across the globe has increased to an enormous level with the increasing number in vehicle

thieves to steal one's vehicle, which may be further used for various crimes. Modern technology are used to enhance these

access. The Micro VBB classic for Ford consists of the necessary electronics to accept command through SMS & process it. An
intelligent “Host” inside the Micro VBB classic for Ford also communicates with subscriber. The Micro VBB classic for Ford is a
detachable device, which could be in the form of a small rectangle, which can be fitted in any part of the vehicle.

senses any intrusion of vehicle doors and immediately communicates such events to the registered user's mobile through SMS.

The Vehicles registered user can control his/her vehicle globally by sending command from mobile as SMS to “Micro VBB”

GENERIC ARCHITECTURE

Micro VBB Classic for Ford is integration of embedded and mobile technology. This device can easily fitted in any part of the
vehicle, which is not visible to normal people. VBB having external peripherals and sensors, which are connected to the
vehicles internal system, through which it controls whole vehicle. Normally VBB controls the ignition of the vehicle, door
movements. VBB consists of GSM inside it, which will act as a negotiator between user and Vehicle. User having certain
commands of SMS though which user can give commands to the vehicle. When SMS reached to the system, system will do
proper authentication of commands and user, if it find everything is authorized then it will perform proper action.

 WORKING OF MICRO VBB-CLASSIC

System performs the appropriate task and send acknowledge to user for particular task. If any difficulty arrives during the task
then system sends corresponding SMS to user. System can immediately immobilize the vehicle from remote place through SMS.
Even if you are not talking on your GSM, your phone is constantly sending and receiving information. It is talking to its cell phone
tower over a pathway called a control channel. The reason for this chatter is so that the cell phone system knows which cell
your phone is in, and so that your phone can change cells as you move around. Every so often, your phone and the tower will
exchange a packet of data that lets both of them know that everything is OK. When a system sends you an SMS message, the
message flows through the SMSC, then to the tower, and the tower sends the message to your phone as a little packet of data on
the control channel. In the same way, when you send a message, your phone sends it to the tower on the control channel and it
goes from the tower to the SMSC and from there to its destination.

SMS is a store-and-forward service, meaning that when you send a text

message to a system, the message does not go directly to system's
GSM. The advantage of this method is that your system doesn't have to be
active or in range for you to send a message. The message is stored in
the SMSC (for days if necessary) until your system turns his GSM on or
moves into range, at which point the message is delivered.
