Nazl AYDIN 1547066 PHED DEVELOPING THINKING Critical thinking is a disciplined mental activity to evaluate arguments or making judgments

that is focused on deciding what to believe or do. Critical thinkers distinguish between fact and opinion; ask questions; make detailed observations; seeks evidence to support assumptions and beliefs and define their reasons; and make claims based on sound logic and solid evidence. Cooperative learning: making groups of students two or more and making students talk about the topic of the lesson. This way they will think critically; evaluate their partners ideas and give feedback to each other. Classroom assessment: After the lecture we can ask questions to students like; What was the most important thing you learned in today's lecture? What you learned today how relevant to other classes or life outside of school? And make them think about what they learned. Giving Assignments: Problem solving or writing assignment about passed classes can make students think. Experiments: discovering physical relationships between materials and world around them will make them think at the process of discovery. Ambiguity: Rather than giving student all the information clearly asking them questions to provide the answers like a detective story. Asking at the moment questions and making students thing about what they are trying to learn. Questions like changing the environment or conditions of that moment and asking them to give example of their answers. Creative thinking is a mental process that integrates with playfulness, curiosity, sensitivity, selfawareness and independence. And its also makes connections between ideas as a habit of thought and looking at thinks in many different ways. To make students creative thinker; we should make them comfortable to say what they are thinking. Their creative idea may not be exactly true but we should not be hard on them when telling the truth so they could keep sharing their ideas. When their ideas are true we sould encourage them with questions like; Thats a good idea. Where can we take it from? Tell me more about this. What steps did you followed to find this? What other solutions will you go on to find now? We can give them a problem from daily life and ask them to find solution. This way they will use their creativity to solve the problem. Asking What If and why questions will make students think. Analytic thinking purposes to evaluate what is learned. References:
