As the popularity of digital photography

escalates, photofinishing stores pose an
increasing demand for compact, robust,
digital order systems which allow their
customers to load digital images from a
variety of different types of storage media,
select and edit the images they want to print,
before sending the images to a local photo
printer or mini-lab.

The BEETLE /iDOT is a digital order terminal

based on the globally retail proven BEETLE
/iPOS that meets every photofinisher's
requirements with its integrated design and
brilliant 15” touchscreen which enables a
customer friendly user interface.

The highly reliable 3.5 inch professional card

drive accepts the following types of digital
media:
Compact Flash Type I & II
SD Memory card
Multimedia Card
xD Picture Card
SmartMedia
Memory Stick

Each slot is clearly labeled for ease of

identification but should a user make a
mistake, there are protective features which
prevent damage to both card drive and
media.

A slot load combo CD-RW/DVD read,

Bluetooth adapter, infrared port and USB
port provide alternative means of loading
images onto the system.
In the BEETLE /iDOT, all the important
components are integrated directly behind
the TFT flat screen. This arrangement of the
components not only facilitates the attractive
and innovative design, but also permits
simple serviceability, robustness and
protection from external influences such as
accidental water splashes.
With a footprint of approximately 35.5 cm x
24.5 cm, the system takes up very little
valuable counter space. Clever cable
management keeps power cords and other
cable out of sight and reduces tampering.
The screen has a tilt angle of 35 degrees,
making it amenable to most existing counter
heights as well as offering each customer a
comfortable viewing angle. The classic black
housing of the BEETLE /iDOT and choice of
matching optional peripherals such as an
integrated MSR and the TH-200-150B
thermal printer, completes the solution which
will fit any store decor.
Connect several BEETLE /iDOTs via 10/100
BaseT LAN or wirelessly through the optional
IEEE802.11 WLAN adapter to a minilab.
In its simplest configuration, it can be
connected to a dedicated photo printer via
USB to provide digital photo printing services
at a low investment.
