Quality Training Farbax (Vietnam) Ltd.

(All QC Assurance Group)

The following points have to be considered regarding Quality Control Training (QC
Assurance Group):

1. No matter how and in which way the production runs, the following Quality
problems are not accepted at all:
- Grey background.
- Low Toner density (Not below 1.30% in solid black – RDEN).
- Spots on white paper surface.
- White OPC spots in the solid black are only accepted if there not more than three
spots per test page.
- Doctorblade- and Cleaningblade issues are not allowed at HQ / Print Star and
Premium Line products. The text on ECO cartridges should not be spoiled by
Cleaning- or Doctorblade issues.

2. All test printers have to be clean and technically in a good condition.

3. There has to be always an additional Test printer for customer simulation tests
available.

4. From all produced cartridges, there have to be always OEM calibrating cartridges
available.

5. Before customer simulation tests are performed, a calibrating print with a proper
OEM cartridge has to be printed. After this 10 cartridges have to be tested with
pulled seal. If there is one cartridge failing the test, another 10 cartridges have to
be tested. Inspect before testing the optical quality of the product.

6. How to tests during production: (End control test, all cartridges):

- ECO: Graphic, Text, and 20% grey print. (The grey print to be uses for individual
control of the print quality) Test to use: LLTest 1.
- HQ/PS: Graphic, Text, 20% Grey and 100% black test prints have to be performed.
Test to use: LLTest 2.
- Premium: Dito. Test to use: LLTest 2.
- The toner density has to be re-checked frequently.
- Life tests have to be performed frequently, in which has to be proved, that the
cartridge reaches the promised page amount. (5% test prints)

7. All from Farbax produced cartridges have to be labelled at least with two stickers:
One has to show the type, the second has to show the production code.

8. Before packaging there has to be a sufficient optical control of each product. The
following points have to be checked:
- Cleanliness of the cartridge. (No remaining toner dust allowed)
- No declined stickers are allowed. All stickers have to be attached in a proper
straight way.

9. The cartridges have to be inserted in the boxes in a way that they do not move
when the box is shacked. This is very important regarding the transport safety.
Frequent tests, in which the finished product is shacked, have to be done. A sliding
of the cartridge inside the box is not allowed!!!

10. All above mentioned rules have to be executed even for the colour cartridge
production. Each colour cartridge has to be tested before packaging. Colour test
prints in each colour and 20% and 100% prints have to be performed. (New test
prints)
