INTRODUCTION AUTHENTIC LEARNING AND ASSESSMENT It is the theme that runs through ideas of meaningfulness and motivation.

Learners need to care about what they are doing; they need to buy in for a project to become engaging. The educator must consider ways to make a classroom part of real world through meaningful assignments, activities, audiences and assessment. The use of media especially the websites benefit the learners in different ways that is they(websites) motivates, encourage participation, cater for individual needs and stimulate meaningful learning. CHARACTERISTICS OF AUTHENTIC LEARNING 1. Real world relevance: teaching and learning should be real especially the teaching aids so that learners can easily grasp. 2. Ill-defined: problems inherent in the activities are ill defined and open to multiple interpretations. Learners must identify their own unique tasks and sub-tasks in order to complete the major task. 3. Complex, sustained task: tasks are to be investigated by learners over a sustained period of time. 4. Multiple perspectives: it offer the learners the opportunity to examine the problem from a variety of theoretical and practical perspectives rather than allowing a single perspective that s learners must imitate to be successful. 5. Collaborative: collaboration is integral to the task, both within the course and the real world rather than achievable by individual. 6. Value laden: it enables learners to make choices and reflect on their learning both individually and socially. 7. Interdisciplinary: can be integrated and applied across different subjects areas and lead beyond domain specific outcomes. 8. Authentically assessed: assessment of activities is seamlessly integrated with the major task in a manner that reflects real world assessment. 9. Authentic products: activities culminate in the creation of a whole product rather than an exercise or sub step in preparation for something else. 10. Multiple possible outcomes: it allows competing solutions and diversity of outcomes. HOW CHARACTERISTICS OF AUTHENTIC ASSESSMENT WERE INCLUDED IN A WEBSITE. The context will influence the lesson by considering the different aspects that is student factors when learners will identify and solve problems in which display the responsible decisions using critical and creative thinking have been made.

Problemsolving is a form inquiry learning which engages learners in seeking knowledge, processing information and applying ideas to-real world situations, it also helps in developing learners thinking and reasoning skills, thus keeping their natural curiosity alive. The production of knowledge will empower learners to become lifelong learners with emphasis on learning to learn. Knowledge is objective and external to the learner, is acquired through an interactive and dialogical engagement with what is to be learnt. Task factors stimulates the wide range of active responses, involves complex, structured challenges that require judgments multiple steps and a full array of tasks. It requires the assessment to be seamlessly integrated with activity. HOW DESIGN PRINCIPLES WERE INCLUDED IN A WEBSITE Learners will identify and solve problems in which responses display that responsible decisions using critical and creative thinking. They will work effectively with others as members of a team or community. They will organize and manage themselves and their activities responsibly and effectively. They will collect, analyze, organize, and critically evaluate information. They will use science and technology effectively and critically, showing responsibility towards the environment and health of others. They will demonstrate an understanding of the world as a set of related systems by recognizing that problem-solving contexts do not exist in isolation. CONCLUSION The utilization of computers compels the learners to give instructions in a logical manner so that the computer can perform the task. Interactive computer programs like websites show the learner that learning can be exciting and challenging, these programs contribute to a better attitude towards learning and work, and it improves the self-image.
In this assignment there were six files i.e. each question has its file instead of continuing with the one Ive started with and I consider this as changes because my computer skill has improved.
