Activity 2 – Listen (15 mins)
- p.56: listen/point, listen/repeat, listen/number - last class we talked about other classes, what other classes do you know. - We don’t usually say calligraphy class, so instead let’s use art class - Wh isp ers G ame : 2 teams whisper the word until finished
Activity 3 – Active Phonics (10 mins)
-last class we learned all the letters of the alphabet -who remembers a _____ word? What letter does the word apple, dad, fox, key, queen, pig, egg, yellow start with -each letter also has a special sound it makes when it comes at the beginning of the word -let’s read the words together. -p. 56: listen/repeat, listen/number -In English there are two kinds of action words and they are different in the past -Last week we learned about regular verbs and when they change to the past we add and –ed to them -these words become completely new words when they are in the past

-one side has present tense other side has past -match with each other = 1 point
Activity 4 – Dialogues (15 mins)
-p.56: listen/repeat -talk about difference between “How was your day --- ok, good, bad”, and “What did you do today--- I____” -ASK STUDENTS how was their day and what did you do?
Activity 5- Word chain (10 mins)
-Word cha in: -one student starts and says “I _______” -the next student repeats “You ____. I _____” -they must remember what the people before them did. -If they can remember more than 8 they each get 1 candy, everyone above 8 that they remember gets more candies.
