Front cover: The Living Bridge, University of Limerick
The 350 metre long pedestrian bridge is one of the most innovative and
impressive pieces of architecture on campus. Designed by Wilkinson Eyre
Architects, London and built by Eifel Construction Metallique, the bridge
connects the north and south banks of the university campus.
The bridge includes four platforms, which are designed to accommodate
social gatherings, informal teaching sessions, music and dance performances
as well as a wide array of educational, social and cultural activities.
