We specialize in cost effective super absorbent and flocculating polymers to assist consumers in the management and efficient use of water. Polymer Innovations Pty Ltd works closely with the Government, Mining, Agriculture and Construction industries to manage all types of water, soil and waste. Our products absorb water based slurries from underground coal mines, control dust pollution, stabilise roadside erosion, assist hydroseeding and reforestation of cleared land and seal tailings dams. All products manufactured are of the highest quality, environmentally friendly, biodegradable & non toxic. We service both nationally and internationally. Recruitment Requirements As our customer base and marketing efforts expand, we require an enthusiastic and talented Technical Sales Engineer to drive and support our sales efforts and to contribute towards sales and development strategies. Polymer Innovations Pty Ltd has accrued an industry leading reputation for the excellence of our products, solutions and our ability to understand and meet the specific needs of our customers. This position will be a key role in supporting our organisation by expanding market awareness of our products and expertise, managing projects, forming new and existing relationships with clients and bringing critical customer requirements back into the development, production and marketing process. The ideal candidate must be self-motivated with a proven track record in sales with the mining/agriculture sector. A technical knowledge of polymer products or chemicals is desirable. Comfortable in the dynamic atmosphere of a technical organisation with a rapidly expanding customer base. Must possess strong presentation skills and be able to communicate professionally verbally and in written responses to emails, RFPs, RFQs and when submitting reports. Organised and analytical, able to eliminate sales obstacles and create sales through creative and adaptive approaches. Must be prepared for extensive travel throughout Australia. Long or irregular hours are normal. You will split your time between the office and visiting clients.


Job Title: Department: Reports To: Supervisory responsibility: Purpose: Polymer Innovations Technical Sales Engineer Sales Polymer Innovations Operations Manager N/A As a Technical Sales Engineer, you will combine technical knowledge with sales skills. To ensure your clients' and your own Company's needs are met, you'll liaise regularly with other sales personnel, and colleagues from other departments such as Research and Development, Production, and Senior Company Managers. You will consistently provide excellent customer service as well as represent the clients needs and goals within the Company to ensure quality. Building strategic relationships with clients to encourage new and repeat business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities 1. Providing pre-sales technical assistance and product education. 2. Manage and execute lead generation activities, establishing new and maintaining existing long term relationships with customers 3. Engage with clients to ascertain and define their requirements. Persuading clients that a product or service will best satisfy their needs. 4. Use technical expertise and that of the R & D section along with the Operations Manager, to scope out the required technical solution. Solving client problems and helping in the design of custom made products. 5. Develop, revise and ratify proposed solutions in conjunction with Polymer Innovations Pty Ltds technical experts. 6. Raise quotes summarizing the business benefits and how these meet the clients requirements together with costs for work. Negotiating tender and contract terms. 7. On receipt of orders liaise with the Operations Manager, who will implement production schedules and allocate work, to convey the clients business imperatives and requirements. 8. On receipt of larger, more complicated, orders liaise with the R & D section and the Operations Manager to ensure the project is completed to quality, time and cost requirements. 9. Offering after-sales support services. 10. Providing training and producing support material for other members of the sales team. 11. Coordinating Sales projects and meet regular sales targets 12. Support Marketing by attending trade shows, conferences and other Marketing events.

General Administration 13. Administering client accounts, recording and maintaining client contact data. Analyzing costs and sales. 14. Contribute to the planning, implementation and review of strategies, maintain sales activity records and reports and follow up for Management. Recommend process improvements where applicable. General 15. Adhere to all Company policies, procedures and business ethics codes. 16. Contribute to the planning, monitoring and review of team and Company performance goals and targets. 17. Take due care and attention of equipment and resources with particular regard to Health & Safety, good housekeeping and basic maintenance.
