Incredibly shocking and revealing report on Michelle Obama

from African Press International

Posted: 17 Oct 2008 09:48 AM CDT

If all of what is reported here is true and can be authenticated, then this is
indeed "very big stuff" - and even bigger if there is an audio tape of
Michelle Obamas call (unknown at this point if one exists)!

The piece has this addendum:

ADDED HERE BELOW DUE TO HUGE INTEREST ON THE ABOVE

STORY. (TIME 16:08 Scandinavian time)

Verification of the story:

We have found it necessary to publish a telephone number that can be
used to reach us should anyone doubt the story. We are doing this
because of many requests by many people who want to know more about
the story.

We are able to receive calls tomorrow the 16th of October through to the
18th October. We find it important that our readers get the truth and not be
misled in any way. This is a true story and we stand by everyone written.

However, Byron York at NRO disputes the story:

That Michelle Obama Report [Byron York]

I'm sure a lot of you have seen references this morning to statements
allegedly made by Michelle Obama in an interview with an organization
called African Press International. I just asked the Obama campaign
whether Michelle Obama did in fact speak to that organization, and
spokesman Tommy Vietor answered:

The answer is no, it's not real, the report is made up. She did not speak to
the organization.

Also, a commenter on the API post who claims to be Barack Obama writes
(and asks for readers to "believe":

I am Barack Obama. You can verify that by clicking on my name at the top
of this message and see that it goes to my official web site.

The telephone call was a fake. That was not Michelle Obama, it was an
actress who tried out for Saturday Night Live as a Michelle Obama
impersonator. She is bitter because Tina Fey was selected instead. SNL
thought that Sarah Palin would be much more of a joke than Michelle
Obama. This failed actress vowed to show the world how good an
impersonator she can be, and this hoax telephone call was the result.

A telephone call is just an anonymous voice. You can trust this message is
from me because it bears my name.

Phillip Berg is playing into my hands by distracting all of the McCain

supporters who are spending time hunting for nonexistent proof that I was
born in Kenya instead of helping McCain's campaign. With a few easy
delaying tactics I can ignore the court case, concentrate on winning the
election, then produce my Hawaii birth certificate any time after November
5.

If you aren't supporting me, please put as much energy and time as you
can into ranting on the Internet about how Barack Obama is not really a
native born US citizen. I don't mind. I will still work for you as I will work for
all Americans as your President for the next eight years.

"I'm asking you to believe"

An excellent 'fisking' of the NYT attack on Joe the Plumber

Posted: 17 Oct 2008 09:22 AM CDT

It's indeed a very enjoyable read. Check out Jim Treacher's piece in which

he takes the NYT's Larry Rohter (pictured) to task over

his attack on Joe "Enemy of the State" Wurzelbacher ("Joe the Plumber"
who in reality, at least in the framework of this election, is you and me):

The New York Times lives up to its glorious reputation today with a hard-
hitting investigative piece by Larry Rohter (pictured) on Joe "Enemy of the
State" Wurzelbacher:
One week ago, Joe Wurzelbacher was just another working man living in a
modest house outside Toledo, Ohio, and thinking about how to buy the
plumbing business where he works. But when he stopped Senator Barack
Obama during a visit to his block last weekend to complain about taxes, he
set himself on a path to becoming America's newest media celebrity -- and
as such suddenly found himself facing celebrity-level scrutiny.

That's why he's being covered in the NYT. Because he complained about
taxes. I'm pretty sure he's the first person in American history to do so, but
keep in mind that fact-checking isn't really my cup of tea.

Joe's question is what's newsworthy. Their interest in the story has very
little to do with Obama's answer.

As it turns out, Joe the Plumber, as he became nationally known when

Senator John McCain made him a theme at Wednesday's final presidential
debate, may work in the plumbing business, but he is not a licensed
plumber.

Did you get that, America? And he dares to call himself a plumber! Of
course, it's unclear at this point whether he actually needs a license to do
the sort of work he does in Ohio. But still. Hey, isn't this how they caught
the Unabomber?
By the way, let's set the record straight: He didn't become known as Joe
the Plumber because McCain brought him up. He became known as Joe
the Plumber because Obama couldn't remember his last name after
McCain had just said it. (Yeah, McCain mispronounced it, but at least he
made the attempt. It's kind of an unusual name.)

His full name is Samuel J. Wurzelbacher. And he owes back taxes, too,
public records show. The premise of his complaint to Mr. Obama about
taxes may also be flawed, according to tax analysts. Contrary to what Mr.
Wurzelbacher asserted and Mr. McCain echoed, neither his personal taxes
nor those of the business where he works are likely to rise if Mr. Obama's
tax plan were to go into effect, they said.

"Tax analysts." Do they have names? Credentials? Ahhh, who cares!

Also note that at this point in the story, the NYT has done a more
thorough investigation of Joe Wurzelbacher than they've done with
William Ayers.

Read the entire piece here ...

By the way, is it just me or does the NYT's doofus-looking Larry Rohter look
like the prototypical far-left, liberal, elite journalist one expects to see at the
NYT? (I know, I know, I'm being racist or something for saying so.
However, like Clark Gable said in ""Gone with the Wind," - "Frankly, my
dear, I don't give a damned"")

Obama 'tanking' in polls?

Via Gateway Pundit (who also points to a bit of Obama irony), Gallup's
'traditional' likely voter model shows Obama with a two-point advantage
over McCain on Thursday, 49% to 47%, this is within poll's margin of error,
via Drudge Report.

Investor's Business Daily - the most accurate poll in the last election, also
has Obama's lead slipping to just 2 over John McCain with 13 percent still
undecided.

'Obama, Joe the plumber, and the gospel of envy'

Posted: 17 Oct 2008 08:44 AM CDT

Obama's call to 'spread the wealth' around is an old - and dangerous -

theme:

[...] Senator Obama, in a rare moment of candor, all but told "Joe the
plumber" that his wealth should be seized in the name of equity. Their
personal encounter this past Sunday played out one of the old themes of
democratic politics: the appeal to the many to take from the few. It's
traditionally an easy sell in democratic regimes.

Despite Obama's implication to the contrary, however, it doesn't represent

much in the way of change.
As Jawa Report points out in: Obama Takes a Look Down His Neo
Communist Nose at Plumbers - "Remember Mr. Obama its called in
income tax, not a profit tax.

The Democrats 'had' to know that the subprime regulations would bring
down the American economy
Posted: 17 Oct 2008 07:42 AM CDT

As we now know, the ongoing financial crash was caused by over-

leveraging at all levels of society - from Wall Street to Main Street to the
slums, however, the initial cause was the popping of the sub-prime
mortgage bubble. This clearly brings up the proverbial question of "what did
they (the Democrats that forced through the legislation pushing home
ownership to minorities) know and when did they know it?" - along with
another, perhaps more important, question - "why did they do it?". And the
answer has to be that they, the "socialist" Democrats (after all, aren't they
in fact - "socialist" Democrats?), intended to bring down the American
economy in order to force the adoption of a socialist agenda with a goal of
replacing capitalism and freedoms that go with it - with, of course, the
support of a Republican president that, as did the Democrats, looked upon
the minorities as potential voters to attract into voting for the politicians that
supported the sham.

There's simply no other way to explain what the Democrats did in forcing
banks, with the help of "Barack Obama-trained" ACORN and their affiliates,
to loan money to homebuyers who had no chance in hell of ever paying the
mortgages back: Either their real goal was the destruction of the American
economy or the "socialist" Democrats (might I say "Marxst?) are far too
stupid to be legislators. So, which one is it?

The evidence is - sobering:

[...] At the bottom of an unknown but frightening number of convoluted new-

fangled debt instruments were homebuyers who had no chance in hell of
paying the mortgages back when the music stopped and the price of
houses in California (and a few similar states) stopped heading toward
infinity.

Federal Home Mortgage Disclosure Act data dug up by reader Tino

suggests that the recent American Housing Bubble was, more than
anything else, a Hispanic Housing bubble, as total mortgage dollars
handed out to to Hispanics more than septupled from 1999 to 2006! (Is
"septupled" even a word?)

[...] a half million dollar loan for a house in a slummy California

neighborhood handed out to a drywaller from Chiapas who obviously must
have added an extra zero to his undocumented annual income on his
mortgage application is considered an "obligation" and the presumption is
that it will be paid back.

[...] Underneath too many of these market insurance schemes that would
take a 300 IQ to understand was the assumption that out in the slums of
California, laborers with fifth grade educations would pay back $4000 per
month for most of the rest of their lives. Maybe they would quit their day
jobs, learn to read English, go to medical school, and become doctors. (We
wouldn't want to be guilty of the "soft bigotry of low expectations," now
would we?) Either that, or they would find a Greater Fool who would pay
even more for the privilege of living in the barrio.

Over the last year, the world's financial institutions started to wake up to the
reality that underlying some uncountable but possibly terrifying fraction of
all the baroque financial instruments they had been selling each other were
pieces of paper "obligating" drywallers to pay each month more than their
monthly income for their cruddy California houses.

Today, nobody in the financial world has much of a clue who is solvent and
who will crumble tomorrow, so nobody wants to lend to anybody.

More evidence? Hear the Democrats' own words - watch this shocking
video:

At a 2004 hearing see Democrat after Democrat covering up and attacking

the regulations to protect Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac (their Cash Cows)
that are now destroying our economy because the Democrats let them
cheat.

As I wrote back in September, clearly, and I do mean very clearly, the

Democrats have been lying about their role in causing the financial collapse
of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, and are lying about not having been
warned over and over about the problems by Republicans:
They, the Dems, actually defended what was going on. These people are
either very very stupid, very very crooked, or, more likely, both. These are
the kind of disgusting idiots that Obama surrounds himself with.

Bombshell. 'Undeniable proof' that a significant number of fraudulent voters

were cast in Democrat primary races for the New Mexico legislature as a
result of ACORN's voter registration fraud."
Posted: 17 Oct 2008 07:24 AM CDT

As Ace puts it, is anyone really stupid enough to believe Obama's paid-off
Chicago-Machine vote fraud outfit was submitting fraudulent votes in a
legislative primary, but not on behalf of their own boy?

And, I might add, is anyone really stupid enough to believe Obama's paid-
off Chicago-Machine vote fraud outfit was submitting fraudulent votes in a
legislative primary, but won't do the same thing in the general on behalf of
their own home boy - Barack Hussein Obama - who has trained them,
supported them, and even paid one of their affiliates $800,000 to "get out
the vote" - and that this isn't happening in all the battleground states across
the country?

Does anyone want to bet that you can count the number of Republicans
this "non-partisan" effort registered to vote and "got out to vote" on less
than one-hand?

And just think, 40 percent of their funding comes from you and me!

You knew it was coming ...

The "Plumber Joe" ad is out:"Obama's not truthfull on taxes."

McCain at rally in Pa - "Joe's the man":

"I thought I did pretty well," McCain said. "The real winner last night was
Joe the plumber. Joe's the man. He won and small businesses won across
America ... the American people are not going to let Senator Obama raise
their taxes."

AllahPundit has it that the left's very excited indeed to discover that
(Plumber Joe) Wurzelbacher's not actually a "licensed" plumber (he just
works and one and want to move ahead in his career and actually BE one)
and that he goes by his middle name(!!1!), ergo you should definitely take
those things into account the next time you hear him ask a question about
taxes.

Obama vs. Conscience

Posted: 16 Oct 2008 03:59 PM CDT

A first-rate column in Canada's National Post (via NRO), by Father

Raymond J. De Souza:

... on abortion, Mr. Obama is the most extreme nominee to date -- far more
than even Senator Hillary Clinton and Senator Joe Biden. He is against the
ban on partial-birth abortion.

He is against parental-notification for minors seeking abortion. He is

against "conscience-clauses" for pro-life doctors who refuse to do
abortions. He favours federal funding of abortions. He has said that his first
act as president would be to sign the Freedom of Choice Act, which would
eliminate by federal statute any abortion regulations in all of the 50 states.

And then there is the controversy over the "born-alive" act -- a federal law
that mandates full legal protection for any child that survives a late-term
abortion. It passed the U. S. Senate unanimously. Mr. Obama was not in
the United States Senate at the time, but he voted against a nearly-
identical law in the Illinois Senate in 2003.

As pointed out at NRO, one can't help but notice how proponents of "pro
choice" don't believe in choice for physicians who object to performing
abortions, and as for Obama's objection to conscience-clauses, it's a
perfect distillation of the Left's domineering cultural imperialism.

Post Debate 'Addendum'

Posted: 16 Oct 2008 02:39 PM CDT

The title of Janet Daly's piece at the Telegraph piece tells both the storyline
of the article and the real take home message from last night's debate: Joe
the Plumber was the real star of the third debate:

A few days ago, in what has now become a legendary confrontation, he

accused Obama of planning to raise his taxes, thus making it very much
more difficult for him to do his bit to expand the economy. In the course of
that exchange, Obama made the revelatory comment that he believed that
"spreading the wealth around" would help everyone. And there it was: the
crucial distinction between those (Democrats) who believe that the wealth
created by individuals should be compulsorily redistributed, even if that
means limiting the possibilities of creating more of it, and those
(Republicans) who feel that it would be better left to the small businesses
which will use it to grow and proffer more employment.

As for why Joe the Plumber resonates so strongly with average America,
the reason has to do with the fact that we the American people, the
average American voter, are - essentially - "Joe the plumber." He is us, and
we don't believe in socialism or "wealth redistribution," we believe in the
free market system, capitalism, and the individual right to pursue our own
dreams and own our rewards for our hard work, take advantage of our
willingness to take risks, and to seek the benefits of our talents and
abilities.

And AJStrata believes, as I do, that the issue of "Joe the Plumber" is one of
two game changers that came out of last night's debate, although I see it
as the most important one: (1) this election is now about Joe The Plumber
and (2) this election is no longer about Bush:

... The more I read the more I realize something really big happened
around this debate that became exposed in this debate (not that the debate
caused it to happen). Joe The Plumber is the American voter in the final act
of this play. Sarah Palin was the American neighbor down the street who
succeeded and is riding to take on Washington, but Joe The Plumber is us
- still struggling to get a good slice of the American dream. As long as
McCain and Palin stand by Joe in every commercial and stump speech and
interview, promising to not raid his earnings to "share the wealth", Obama
will lose this election. Nothing else needs to be said because no other issue
(birth certificates, past alliances with radicals) means a damn thing to
Americans personally! Obama gave the GOP this gift, don't waste it by
wasting time on topics that don't connect directly with the lives of the
American voter. They will let anyone screw up and make mistakes as long
as it doesn't hurt them financially (which is why tying the Dems to Fannie
Mae and Freddie Mac is probably still a good second or third topic).

And borrowing from AJ's update, the WSJ spells out the clear difference
between John McCain policies that would foster the continuance of "Joe
the plumbers" and Barack Obama policies that would end them -
essentially killing the American dream and the very reason for pursuing it:

Neither candidate is offering policies that meet the serious economic

moment. But Mr. McCain would let Americans keep more of their own
income to ride out the downturn, while Mr. Obama is revealing that his
default agenda is to spend money and expand the government.

As the WSJ goes on to point out, John McCain's best hope (and I would
add - also America's) now is that millions of Americans share the basic
economic common sense of Joe the Plumber (and reject the Marxism of
Obama and the teachings he learned so well from the radical Saul Alinsky.
David Limbaugh sees it pretty much the same way: Obama's agenda is
nothing less than Marxist, and although socialism and communism have
failed everywhere they've been tried in the world, Obama is clearly trying to
sneak it upon the American people:

Do you suppose it has registered with class warfare-receptive Obama

voters that Obama is deliberately turning the American dream on its head?
Could it be any clearer that his message to the middle class is: Don't aspire
to achievement, success and wealth because a) it is immoral to have more
than others, b) the government will take your wealth away from you and
give it to others, and c) why bother to bust your rear end to make more
when you can vote yourselves money from the public trough?

[...] Obama let slip his socialist proclivities to Joe the plumber when he
denied he wanted to punish wealth and insisted he just wanted to spread
the wealth around. Joe was justifiably repulsed by Obama's cavalier
attitude toward the American dream.

Democratic commentator Bob Beckel was dismissive of the significance of

Obama's outright nod to socialism, saying we've had a progressive tax
system since the income tax was initiated. Yes, Bob, and we've had
socialists in America since then, too.

But what Beckel did not explain is that at least in those days, the stated
purpose of the income tax system was to fund government services, not to
redistribute wealth.

It's one thing to say that higher income earners should pay a higher
percentage for government services. But Obama makes no pretense of
stopping there. He told Joe that he wants to use the tax code to confiscate
money from higher income earners and give it to others. But he hasn't been
so open about that in the presentation of his fraudulent tax plan.

When Obama says he will cut income taxes for 95 percent of Americans,
he is dissembling. If 38 percent are already not paying, his tax credits to
them amount to transfer payments from higher income earners, which are
actually spending increases, not tax cuts, as The Wall Street Journal
editors have noted.

Liberals, such as Obama, might deny human nature, but they can't change
it. And human nature happens to dictate that people will not produce as
much when you confiscate more of what they produce and give it to others.
The working wealthy, especially Christians and conservatives, are some of
the most generous people in the world, but we're talking about voluntary
charitable contributions, not unconstitutionally coerced redistributions.

How many times must history repeat itself before we learn that
socialism and communism cannot work.

[...] Socialism and communism have failed everywhere they've been

tried in the world, yet die-hard socialists, such as William Ayers, still
smarter than God, insist on cramming them down our throats in the
name of "fairness." Unreconstructed radicals always say that true
socialism hasn't been given a real chance.

Well, if Obama is elected, we may get that chance.

CBS News' reports on incendiary New Ad Attacking Obama's "Wrong

Values"
Posted: 16 Oct 2008 01:52 PM CDT

Apparently Obama's supporters are so desperate to cover up this ad,

they''ve scrambled to denounce to not only denounce it but are even
denying that it's being shown on the airwaves:

As CBS News' Michelle Levi reports:

The ad, "Obama's Wrong Values," began running Sunday night in Reno,
Nevada and has since expanded across the state. The group plans to air
the spot in Colorado starting tomorrow and run it in Michigan - where
McCain has pulled his advertising - by the end of the week.

According to a PAC spokesman, the group has already spent just under
$100,000 in Nevada and Colorado to run the spot. The group said its
budget in Michigan is "$500,000 or higher." It said it has plans to expand to
Ohio and Pennsylvania, adding that its funding comes largely from a large
number of small donors.

The anti-Obama group says it is kicking off a two week "Stop Obama Tour,"
which will include rallies, starting tomorrow.

According to its web site, the group has one objective: "to defeat Barack
Obama in the 2008 presidential election."

They promise they "won't be subtle or vague - America's future is at stake,

and it's time someone stood up to Barack Obama and told the American
people why this man cannot, and must not, serve as our next Commander-
in-Chief."
