Thank you for your participation in the 2011 Shattering Ceilings and Opening Doors: The Next Generation of Female Leadership Conference, hosted by the Georgetown Women in Business Club and the McDonough School of Business. We are very pleased to be hosting this exciting event and very excited for your participation. The agenda includes a series of distinguished speakers as well as a workshop that focus on how women can best position themselves as future business leaders. We have put together this packet of information to clarify the schedule for the day and to give you some general information about what to expect during the conference. We would love for you to join us for the entire day, starting with breakfast at 7:45am and concluding with a networking reception at 3:30pm. Driving Directions: The following address can be used with mapping software or in-car navigation systems: o 3607 M St NW, Washington, DC 20007

From Washington, DC: o From Northwest Washington: Take Wisconsin Ave. south to M Street, turn right. Continue through five stop lights. Stay in right lane and bear right into campus o From Southeast Washington: Take Pennsylvania Ave. West to Independence Ave. Bear left. Take Independence to 12th St., N.W., and turn right. Take 12th St. to K St. and turn left. Follow K St. to Whitehurst Freeway. Turn left onto Canal Rd. Stay in right lane. Bear right into campus. o From Northeast Washington: Take Rhode Island Ave. west until it feeds into M St. Take M St. through Georgetown and past the Key Bridge. Stay in right lane. Bear right into campus. From Maryland: o From I-270: Take I-270 south toward Washington. Exit Rte. 355 Wisconsin Ave. south to M Street, turn right. Continue through five stop lights. Stay in right lane and bear right into campus o From I-95: Take I-95 south to I-495 west to Silver Spring. Exit Rte. 355 Wisconsin Ave. south to Washington. Take Wisconsin Ave. south to M Street, turn right. Continue through five stop lights. Stay in right lane and bear right into campus o From Baltimore-Washington Parkway or Rte. 50 Westbound: Take B-W Parkway or Rte. 50 west to New York Ave. Take New York Ave. to L St. Bear right. From Northern Virginia: o From I-66 (after 9:00 a.m.): Take I-66 east to the Rosslyn - Key Bridge exit. Stay in left lane and follow signs to Key Bridge. Cross Key Bridge, staying in second lane from left. Turn left onto Canal Rd. Stay in right lane. Bear right into campus. o From I-395: Take I-395 north. Exit Washington Blvd. and follow signs to Rosslyn and Key Bridge. Cross Key Bridge, staying in second lane from left. Turn left onto Canal Rd. Stay in right lane. Bear right into campus. o From Rte. 50 Eastbound: Follow Rte. 50 east and take Rosslyn - Key Bridge exit. Follow signs to Key Bridge. Cross Key Bridge, staying in second lane from left. Turn left onto Canal Rd. Stay in right lane. Bear right into campus. o From George Washington Parkway (after 9 a.m.): Take the G-W Parkway south. Exit Key Bridge. Directions to the Georgetown University Southwest Quad Garage and the Hariri Building:

Enter the Georgetown University campus through the Canal Road entrance located approximately 200 feet past the Exxon Mobil gas station. The following address can be used with mapping software: 3607 M St NW, Washington, DC 20007 As you travel up the hill, the visitor parking garage will be on your right (look for the sign for visitor parking). Enter here. Once you park, take the elevator and turn left when exiting the elevator lobby, heading North. Walk up the hill along the football field (the field should be on your right side as you walk up the hill). Turn right at top of hill and enter the Rafik B. Hariri Business School Building. You will enter the building on the first floor. Once inside use either the stairs or the elevators (to your left as you enter the building) to check-in on the third floor.

By taxi:

Instruct your taxi driver to drop you off at the University Hotel, behind the medical complex. Upon entering the hotel lobby, follow the long hallway to your right. After the hallway makes a left turn, make a right across the patio to enter the Hariri building. You will enter the Hariri building on the third floor. Use either the stairs or the elevator (to your right upon entering the building) to check-in on the fourth floor. We will have volunteers stationed at the entrances to help you find your way and will have signage throughout the complex.

Public Transportation: The University is served by the G2, D2 and D6 Metrobuses routes. Check the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) website for schedules. We are also near the Georgetown-Union Station Circulator Line. More information is available from the DC Circulator website. The closest Metrorail stops are Rosslyn on the Blue/Orange Line and Dupont Circle on the Red Line. GUTS - Georgetown University Transportation Shuttle - serves Rosslyn and Dupont Circle metro stops. What to Expect
Who: We are expecting approximately 170 attendees. This includes current McDonough School of Business MBA students as well as students from the law, policy and School of Foreign Service. We also expect alumnae and members of the broader Washington DC community.

When: Registration will begin at 7:45am and will include coffee and a light breakfast. We will provide you with a name badge. The event will begin promptly at 8:15am. The event will end with the networking reception that will run from 3:30pm to 4:30pm.

What to Bring: We ask that you bring at least one business card for us at check in so we can have your full information. We also suggest that you bring more business cards to exchange with other attendees during the networking sessions.

Attire: We expect the majority of the attendees will be wearing either Business Formal or Business Casual. Please dress in a manner that you find both comfortable and appropriate.

What we will provide: We will provide you with light breakfast and coffee in the morning, lunch, and refreshments during the networking reception.
