Satoshi Ohno
Despite his identity as the leader of the band, the entire group agrees that Ohno does not show much
leadership qualities. He only recently learn how to buy his own shoes and still needs his mother to buy him
clothes. Ohno is seen to be the quiet daydreamer of the group and is often seen with a blank look on his face.
He rarely has much to say during talk shows and interviews, usually only voicing out to say strange, random,
irrelevant things.
Ohno has a highly artistic nature. He sings the strong, lead vocals in Arashi's songs, having honed his singing and
dancing skills on live stage since a tender age. He is considered the best singer and dancer in Arashi, and also
one of the best in the whole JE.
Sakurai Sho has the highest education among the other four members, and graduated from Keio
University, a very prestigious university in Japan. Fans sometimes call him "Keio Boy" because ever since he was
little he's been going to Keio. He started the trend for Johnny's to pursue their education while maintaining their
"idol" status. His dad is a politician and his mother is a professor. He has two younger siblings, one sister of five
years difference, and one brother of twelve years difference.
Sho is famous for his proud drawings of Totoro and Panda (G no 嵐), the worst drawer of the group.
Beside from looking the manliest (he raps and write his rap lyrics) Sho is actually one of the most scaredy-cat
member. Despite being all serious as a news caster, he goes right after to film Arashi no Shukudai-kun where he
often shows his dorky side along with the other four members.

Aiba joined Johnny's Jimusho in August of 1996 for the sole reason of wanting to play basketball with
SMAP. It is a good example of the type of person he is-- whimsical and never thinking ahead. His cheerful and
easygoing personality distinguished him from the rest of the Jrs. and he soon became one of the popular
members within the group, going so far as to acquire the nickname "Super Idol Aiba-chan" somewhere along the
way. He was the last to know about his part in the formation of Arashi, learning of the fact only three days
before their official debut in Hawaii in September of 1999.
As the childish if not somewhat ditzy member of the group, Aiba is often the first to suggest crazy, off-
the-wall ideas; even if not, he would definitely be one of the first to throw his support behind the others. As a
result, Aiba has his own segment on their regular variety show ("G no Arashi") called "A no Arashi", in which he
carries out many bizarre but fun experiments with the assistance of the other members. Outside of group
activities, Aiba is also one of the regulars on a children's show called Tensai! Shimura Dobutsuen, where he
interacts with a wide variety of animals.

JunMatsumoto
Matsumoto entered Johnny's Entertainment in 1996, at the age of thirteen. Although the proper
procedure is for the applicant to go through a round of auditions before being admitted into the talent agency,
Matsumoto bypassed it by receiving a direct phone call from Johnny Kitagawa, telling him to report for work.
In September 1999, on board a cruise ship off the shores of Honolulu, Hawaiʻi, he debuted as the
youngest member of ARASHI. ARASHI, the slightly hip-hop-influenced group of Johnny's Entertainment, was
instantly popular with the fans. Although the members of ARASHI enjoy more or less equal popularity, a large
portion of the fans were attracted to ARASHI by watching Matsumoto's dramas; a common syndrome that has
been nicknamed the 'Jun-bait' by fans.
