TEACHERS Day Skit MMS

N: A very good evening to one & all present here. On this occasion of Teachers day, We, the students of MMS, take great pleasure in presenting a skit before you all. So, sit back & relax! We assure that you will enjoy every bit of this! This is the MMS classroom. The students have just finished a lecture & are now awaiting their NEW Finance & Accounting Professor Let us all steal a look into this classroom!! PPT: DAY 1 Arun (Corporate)- Yaar, you know I spent 3 years in the Corporate. I left my highly paid jobthinking that Ill study some more & sharpen my skills but Im afraid that I have started regretting that decision. Yogesh arre.. why are thinking so much? Just relaxtake a chill-pill yaar do saal haimazze kar!! Arun- How can you be so chilled, yaar? I have come here to study. I have heard we have a new Professor for Finance & Accounting.. lets see how she turns out to be! Yogesh- new Professor??? ..ab tu dekh.well make her life hell!! (Arun nods in frustration) N: The new Professor enters the class. Will she be able to manage this class? Let us see! (Teacher enters, students stand) Teacher: Good Morning Students (Students wish & sit down) Please sit down. I am your new Professor for Finance & Accounting Yogesh : Maam, your name??? Teacher: yes, Im coming to thatIm Sharon. I did my CFA after completing M.Com in India..& then I went to the US to pursue MBA. Now Im here in this esteemed institution as a Professor. So let us start now! Yogesh: Maam, Please share a jokeplease Maamplease (class supports him) Teacher: nonoseeyou all are already lagging I must start immediatelyI cannot waste time on jokes & all! (Students continue to demand a joke) Teacher: Since you all are insisting Ill share a joke (JOKE)(all students laugh) So let us begin now. Today we will learn how to read a balance sheet. (Slides are displayedcharacters act in mute) (Bell rings)

OK students, thats all for today. So we meet tomorrow. Please read up all that I have taught. (Characters all remain still, till the narrator finishes) N: Such was the first day of Prof. Sharon.She was glad that there was just one mischievous boy in class. She was confident that she will be able to manage & control the class. PPT: DAY 2 Day 2: Teacher: Good Morning, Students. So where did we stop yesterday? (Binu raises his hand. Teacher allows him) Binu: Maam, yesterday we studied how to read a balance sheet. (Students start OOOO. At Binu ) Teacher: V.good (Teacher changes the slides and looks at the slides) PPT: Teacher continues to teach. (Teacher turns back) Teacher: on the balance sheet, why do you write Assets on the RHS & liabilities on the LHS? (Binu raises hand)(At this time, Ruchi drops her head down) (Teacher tries to avoid Binu...suggests Roll no. wise selectioncalls out Roll no. 33)(Students search for Roll no.33)(It happens to be Ruchi )(Teacher asks her the questionshe cant answer) Teacher :- (irritated)please understandwhat Im teaching you all is importantpleaseIm not singing a song here..that you should go to sleep..pleaseplease take this seriously. (while she is speakingPratiksha & Tulika are talking) (Teacher turns to themall the more irritated) Teacher: now, why are you all talking? Do you know what question I asked? Pratiksha: No, MaamI was just asking her about her ex-boyfriend. Teacher: is this the time to discuss all that? Why dont you all pay attention, please? So, Arun can you answer? Arun: no, Maam I dont know! Teacher: Ok Binu, you answer! Binu: Maam, we writejust because it is a practice that is followed. Teacher: Good Binusit down.

(Students start OOOO and shout tuitions, chatey at Binu) Yogesh : Binu, how are you able to answer all these questions ? Binu: I study it the day before and come. (Yogesh raises his hand) Teacher: yes, Yogesh.. you have a doubt? Yogesh: Hmmm.Maam can you please tell a joke? (Teacher frustrated..Class joins himstart shouting.chaos!!!) N: Hearing the chaos, the Principal comes to the class. Principal: what is happening here? Teacher: Sir, I was taking their Finance Lecture. Principal: Oh, Is it??? (Sarcastically) Sharon, I would like to speak with you. Please come to my cabin. (Teacher in Principals cabin) Principal: Sharon, I had great expectations from you. You seemed so confident when you joined. But you have disappointed me! Teacher: Im sorry, Sir. I still have the confidence, Sir. Im sure I can manage the class. Please give me one more chance. Principal: Sharon, this is the first & last warning. I give you one week to prove yourself. N: Prof. Sharon is upset. She has a serious problem in managing the class, especially because of those 5 students who disturb the class. Will she be able to prove herself? Lets have a look! Sharon: (thinks to herself): What can I do to manage the class? I dont want to be rude to them. I want them to enjoy my lectures & learn at the same time. How can I do that? If I fail this time, I will lose my job for sure..But more importantly, I believe I can contribute to making each of my students good managers & great leaders(thinks for a while)..I think I know what to do! N: Prof identifies the 5 students who disturb the class and tries to find a solution to tackle each of them. Narrator has to read out the problems for each student as and when their photo pops up. (not necessary since it is already on the slides! ..we can save time here..)

PPT: Photos of five students come in order along with their problems 1. Yogesh : the mischievous one 2. Binu : Does not allow anybody else to answer 3. Ruchi : sleeps during lectures 4. Arun : Is not able to concentrate 5. Pratiksha : Talkative Photos of all the 5 students is displayed on screen N: Prof. Sharon is all set with a plan. Lets see how the next day unfolds for her. Day#3: Teacher: Good Morning (in a loud voice) (Students all quiet) Yogesh (to neighbor)- yeh Maam ka aawaz tha? Teacher: So, who can tell me what _____________________ (Binu raises his hand) Teacher: Binu, Im really happy that you are so well prepared for each lecture. So, I need a favour form you. (Binu is very happy) From now onwards, I want you to prepare questions from my slides, Then I can give those questions as assignments to the class. N: So, from that day onwards, Binu is busy writing questions. He feels privileged & now others got a chance to answer. PPT: CROSS ON BINU. Teacher: repeats question. Asks Arun to answer. Arun: I dont know, Maam. Teacher: Arun, I see that you are really interested in the subject. I want you to pay more attention. Im sure you will do really well. N: Prof. Sharons words of encouragement filled Arun with the urge & enthusiasm to study & he started paying attention so that he could answer the questions asked in class. Teacher: Yes, Pratiksha & Tulika.. So whats the topic of discussion today?

(Pratiksha & Tulika look at each other.) So do you know the answer to the question? Im going to make sure that the two of you become just as bright as Binu& Im sure you will. So, I want you to pay attention. You never know when the next question is going to come at you. N: Pratiksha & Tulika realized that since Binu was no longer answering the questions they couldnt escape & so paying attention in class was the only option. PPT: CROSS ON PRATIKSHA Teacher: Ruchi, Ruchido you want to wash your face & come? Because I have a job for you? Ruchi: No Maamits ok! Teacher: I need your help in scrolling the slides. Can you do that for me? PPT: CROSS ON RUCHI N: Ruchi agrees& now because of the kind of job assigned to hershe could never sleep in class again. Yes, Prof. Sharon is doing a good job. But how is she going to deal with Yogesh? Yogesh: Maamjoke?... Maam joke? (Class does not support him now, since they have realized Teachers makeover!!) Teacher- Yeajokesurewhy not?? (All students look happy) Teacher- Yogesh will share a joke with uscome on Yogesh. Yogesh- JOKE____________ (Students start booing) Yogesh (says to himself)- arre yaarjoke-joke karte karte mera hi joke ban gaya! N: From that day onwards, Yogesh had no more demands. He started sitting with Binu & helped him with the questions. PPT: CROSS ON YOGESH N: Prof Sharon was able to tackle everybody but she was unsure whether Arun understood what she taught.

PPT: AFTER FEW DAYS. PPT: ONCE AGAIN THE PHOTOS COME WITHOUT A CROSS ON ARUN. Teacher: So who will tell me how much percentage is charged on current account? N: Hall fell silent. Nobody knew the answer; even the brightest student Binu didnt. Suddenly one hand goes up. (students all look at him with surprise) Arun answers the question correctly. PPT: CROSS ON ARUN.

N: Thus, Prof. Sharon stood firm on her beliefs. She taught her students to be good managers & great Leaders, by her own example. We, dedicate this skit to our beloved teachers at SIESCOMS, who take immense efforts to to teach us, groom us & most importantly, inspire us to achieve Excellence in all that we do. THANK YOU
