JobSummary: Contribute to the strategic direction of the organization through programme policy development and the managementofexternalpartnerships MainDutiesandResponsibilities: Contributetopolicyandplanningdialoguebothinternallyandexternally,incoordinationwiththeunit Director(Policy&Partnerships); Coordinateengagementwithgovernmentdepartmentsacrosssectorsandleadonestablishingnew relations; Monitorgovernmentcommunicationofnewpolicies,regulations,orlegislationandcommunicate changestoAKFstaff; SupporttheDirectorofPolicyandPartnershipsandcoordinatewiththePartnershipsManagerin strategicengagementwithdonors,Government,andotherNGOsonkeypolicyissues; OverseethemaintenanceandfollowupoftheAKFPolicyMatrix,andthemainstreamingofpolicy dialoguethroughouttheorganisation,incollaborationwiththeDirector; IncoordinationwiththeCEOandDirectorofPolicyandPartnerships,representAKFinvariousexternal meetings,includingpolicyfora,roundtablesandworkinggroupmeetings; DevelopplansincoordinationwithRegionalDirectorsforprovinciallevelpolicydialogue; Organizeevents/workshopsthatbringtogethergovernmentpolicymakersandAKFstaff; Contributetodialogueonstrategicdirectionincoordinationwithmembersoftheseniormanagement team; Researchandproducewrittendocumentsthatprovideabasisforpolicydialoguewithgovernment AssisttheCommunicationsTeaminthepreparationofstrategiccommunicationsmaterialsthatare relevanttokeypolicyissues

 RequiredQualificationsandExperience: Mastersdegreeinrelevantfieldandatleastthreeyearsofexperienceinasimilarorrelevantfield; Experienceworkinginamulticulturalenvironment,preferablyinapostconflictone; ExcellentEnglishwrittenandverbalskills; Demonstratedabilitytoworkunderpressureandmeettightdeadlines Abilitytocriticallyanalyzeandprovideconstructiverecommendations; Goodteamplayerwithabilitytobuildandmaintaincollaborativerelationshipswithcolleagues;
