“MY PAL” – HONEYWELL INDIA EMPLOYEE REFERRAL PROGRAMME

OBJECTIVE

This Policy document is prepared with an intention to have a common employee referral
programme across all Honeywell India businesses. This programme will be called “My
Pal”.

Scope

The Policy is applicable to:-

• Honeywell Technology Solutions (HTS)


• Honeywell Automation India Ltd. (HAIL)
• Honeywell International India Pvt. Ltd. (HIIPL)
• Honeywell Turbo Technologies Ltd. (HTTL)
• Honeywell ED&S (Formerly Novar India)
• UOP India Pvt Ltd.

APPLICABILITY

All permanent employees of Honeywell entities across India shall be able to participate
in this programme and refer candidates for full-time and regular positions that are
notified under this scheme.

This policy shall be in force effective Aug 1, 2006.

The eligible employee would qualify for the Referral bonus according to this policy if the
employee is on the rolls of the company on the date of payment of the referral bonus.

Employees in Band-5 and above are not eligible for the Referral Bonus even although
they can refer a person against vacant positions.

Employees can refer candidates who have worked with Honeywell in the past; provided
there is a minimum gap of one year for the re-hire cases.

HR team members across all the Honeywell locations in India will not be eligible to
participate in the programme. The stakeholders involved in the process i.e. hiring
managers for the position in question, reporting chain above them and interview panel
members will not be eligible for referral. However –They can also refer candidate for
Vacant position, including the specific Position /Vacancy being raised by them.
The employee who refers the candidate will not be allowed to be apart of the interview /
Selection process.
ELIGIBILITY PARAMETERS ON REFERRING FRESHERS:-

1. Employees referring, Engineering / Management Project Interns will not be


eligible for Referral Bonus under the policy, as Project Interns are not the
employees of the company and are supposed to be working with us by virtue of
their academic requirements.

2. Fresher’s, recruited directly from Campuses (Colleges / Universities), even if


they are referred by employees, would not fall under the ambit of this policy.

3. Any notification, posted under “My PAL” policy in respect of Fresher requirement
would be eligible for the Referral Bonus.

PROCESS OWNER

The prime process owner of this policy in terms of designing & execution shall be Head,
Staffing – HTS and the nominated HR site leader for each business. This team will be
responsible for smooth execution and will review the policy, if required.

MODUS OPERANDI

Open vacancies under this scheme will be notified through email to all Honeywell
employees across India by Corp Communications and the Process Owner every
Monday. Employees interested in referring candidates for the positions would need to go
online and refer the candidate or should write to the contact person mentioned as
mentioned in the My Pal email.

The referred candidate will be contacted and updated on their status accordingly by the
designated recruiter in accordance to the position they have applied to.

The referral CV will be valid for a six-month period or till the filling up the relevant
vacancy being referred against; whichever is earlier.

The respective site HR representative shall be the final deciding authority as regards to
same CV’s received from multiple sources.

Needless to mention, the same candidate will not be considered for multiple positions,
unless specifically notified clearly by the referee.

The decision of the location representative / screening committee shall be final and
binding on all the stakeholders in the process as regards to the suitability of the
candidate.

REFERRAL BONUS:-

On successful joining of the referred candidate, the employee (referee) shall be eligible
for Referral Bonus, as mentioned below.
Band Amount (INR) / Per Successful referral

Band 1 & 2 6000


Band 3 10000
Band 4 15000

The referral amount paid to the eligible employees is subject to deduction of Income Tax
and other statutory levies applicable, if any.

The referee shall be eligible for payment if he / she is on the rolls of the company on the
day of payment.

The site staffing representative shall inform the employee directly about the selection /
joining of the candidate.

PAYMENT MODE:-

The mode of payment will be through salary. Subsequent to joining of the candidate the
referral bonus would be credited by through payroll, in the salary of the following month.

AUTHORITY:-

All the rights in modifying this policy, without any intimation to any stakeholders, lies with
the referral committee, which comprises of the HR site leaders of all Honeywell
businesses across India.

Any dispute concerning this Policy and / or its implementation shall be raised with the
referral committee.

The policy shall be reviewed on need basis and/or on annual basis whichever falls first.

FAQ’s (Frequently Asked Questions)

1. How do I refer a candidate for a position?

The vacancies will be notified every Monday through the My Pal bulletin along with
the required information to refer a candidate. For step by step instructions please
refer to the attached PPT below.

2. How and when would I get my referral bonus amount?

You will be notified upon successful joining of your referred candidate by the staffing
focal of the respective business where the candidate has been referred to and the
referral bonus would be added to your next month’s salary.

3. Who is eligible to participate in the My Pal programme?

All permanent employees of Honeywell entities across India shall be able to


participate in The My Pal Programme and refer a candidate.

4. Who is not eligible for the Referral Bonus?

All HR team members, hiring managers, the reporting chain above them and the
interview Panel members for the position in question are not eligible for the
reference bonus, even although they can still refer a candidate. All employees in
Band 5 or above are not eligible for the Referral Bonus.

5. Can I refer a candidate who was a Honeywell employee earlier (Rehire)?

Yes, provided there is a minimum gap of service with Honeywell of 1 year for the
rehire cases.

6. Can I refer my spouse / immediate relatives?


We do not encourage family members/spouse working in the same team/project
where there is a scope for these two individuals to come in contact with each other
for work related matters. However, where these two individuals do not come in
contact for work / work related interactions, such reference will be allowed. As there
is subjectivity involved in arriving whether the work related interactions are involved,
the respective site coordinators will take the decision.

7. Does this policy cover referring colleges /university/consultants / Contract


positions?

No. Referral bonus will be not be paid out to candidates from colleges/ universities
where Honeywell already conducts recruitment, neither will contract positions be
eligible for a referral bonus.

8. Who decides when there is a conflict arising out of the source of the
candidate’s profile?

The site HR representative shall be the final deciding authority with respect to same
resumes / CV’s received from multiple sourcing channels.

9. Can I refer a fresher?

Yes, only if the vacancy is notified through the My Pal bulletin.

10. Would I get my pending Referral Bonus, if I resign?

Yes, all eligible employees would get the referral bonus only if they are on the rolls of
the company on the day of payment of the referral bonus.

11.What does “day of payment” mean (Question 10)?

It is the day on which advice is sent to the payroll department by the Staffing
Representative to process the salary.
